Duolun County is located at the eastern end of the northern foot of Yinshan Mountain at the southern end of Xilin Gol League. East longitude115 30 ′-116 55 ′, north latitude 4145 ′-42 39 ′. It borders Zhenglan Banner in the west, Keshiketeng Banner in Chifeng City in the north and Guyuan County, Fengning County and Weichang County in the south. The total area is 3773 square kilometers. The total population is 654.38 million (2003).

The development of history
The name of the county comes from Duolun Noor, which means "seven lakes", and it is named after the seven Shui Bo (now dried up).
