Application conditions
Education requirements: Other requirements for graduating from high school: Cambridge First English Certificate, A or B in Swedish Entrance Examination (TISUS) or taking Swedish B course.
1. To apply for the Swedish teaching major, you only need a Swedish score certificate;
2. The scores in all parts of IELTS shall not be lower than 4.5. Language and related test scores: TOEFL total score: 6 1.00 IELTS total score: 5.00 IELTS single subject requirements: not less than 4.5.
Application material
Proof of application fee or fee reduction and exemption
In order for your application to be processed, non-EU citizens must pay the application fee before the deadline (if you apply for autumn study, please pay the application fee before February 1). If you are eligible for EU citizenship or other exemption from application fees, you must submit proof before the same deadline.
Official transcripts and certificates
You need to submit all the official certificates and transcripts you need to the Swedish University Admissions Office. You don't need to submit these documents directly to Lund University.
Depending on which country you study in, you can scan and upload the original files. Please be sure to check the certificate rules of specific countries before applying! If your transcripts or certificates are not allowed to be uploaded, they should be sent to the University Admissions Office in Sweden in hard copy (by mail or courier service).
A copy of the certificate or diploma sent by ordinary mail must be certified by your school and stamped with its seal. A copy can also be certified by a notary. The uploaded file does not need to be authenticated, because you need to scan the original file. Please note that in some countries, schools must send transcripts directly to the Swedish University Admissions Office, but you can't send them yourself.
If your document is published in Nordic or any language other than English, French or German, you need an authorized translator. Your school can provide you with a translated version of your report card or a list of official translations.
Proof documents, statement of purpose, recommendation letter
In addition, you should also pay attention to the website information of each course to find out whether they require you to provide additional supporting documents. This is very important. Many courses require you to submit a statement of purpose (also called a letter of intent or personal statement), and in some cases, they may even provide a template. Some courses may also require students to provide resumes, letters of recommendation or writing samples. Please read the admission and selection criteria of the course carefully.
You also need to submit these additional supporting documents to the Swedish University Admissions Office. However, for some courses in the school, please send the supporting documents directly to the course administrator of Lund University (in this case, this will be explained in the application notes on the course website).
Portfolio (students majoring in architecture and design)
Some courses in Lund University (mainly architecture and design) require the submission of portfolios during the selection process. These documents are usually sent directly to the course administrator of Lund University. Check the documents and selection requirements of the course frequently to ensure that you have not missed any necessary documents.
English proof
The documents that students need to submit to prove their English proficiency are different, depending on the country where students study and the requirements of specific courses.
It is important that you check the English language proficiency requirements and guidelines of the course to determine what kind of English certificate you need for the course you are applying for. If you didn't use English as the teaching language in your previous study, in most cases, you need to pass internationally recognized exams (such as IELTS/TOEFL) to prove your language ability.
Even if you have studied English before, it doesn't mean that you can prove your language ability through internationally recognized exams. Check the exemption requirements on the website and make sure that you fully meet one of the exemption requirements described on the website. For example, it is not enough to send an English certificate from your university.
Application time
Time for applying for undergraduate and postgraduate courses
The application period for students applying for international English undergraduate or master's courses is as follows: (1)1mid-October 65438- 10/5, and the fall semester begins (August/September). Please note that some courses do not accept applications until 65438+February 1. ; (2) Spring term (65438+ 10 month), from early June to August 15. Please note that only a few courses are offered every spring semester.
Generally speaking, international students can only apply for a bachelor's or master's degree from Lund University through the national application system during the application period. Date refers to the deadline for online application. After this deadline, students usually have two weeks to get their documents and application fees (if possible). Some courses may remain open after the normal application deadline. Specific information can be found in the school official website.
Please note that some courses in Lund University, such as fine arts and European joint master's program, have different application deadlines. Please refer to the course website of the school for details.
Don't miss the deadline
It is very important to apply before the deadline. After the deadline, you can't apply online on the website of universityadmisssion. If your documents and application fees arrive after a certain deadline (usually about two weeks after the deadline for online application), the school will also regard your application as untimely. Unless the course you apply for has an extended deadline, it means that the school will not process or consider your application.
Extension of application deadline
Sometimes, some courses will extend the application deadline. In these cases, you can find information about "delayed application opening" through the course information on the universityadmission website. You can still apply according to the normal application steps. As long as this information appears, you can apply, but later applications will be processed in the order of application, so it is very important to apply as soon as possible. Please note that if the application deadline for this course has not been extended, you cannot apply for an extension.
