The quality of geological data managers directly affects the utilization degree and service quality of geological data. With the digitalization and socialized service of geological data today, improving the quality of geological data managers is the key to realize socialized service and secondary development of geological data.

Geological data; Personnel quality

Geological data management is not only an information management work, but also a high-tech service work. It can organize all kinds of complex geological information into an orderly system, which can be directly used by geological research institutes and plays an important role in geoscience research. With the rapid development of the digital age, the contradiction between the information provided by geological data managers and the increasing information knowledge needs of users is becoming more and more prominent. The overall quality of geological data managers is the main factor causing this contradiction. How to highlight the personal skills and quality of geological data managers has become the key. Therefore, it is a decisive factor to recognize and analyze the quality status of geological data managers and effectively improve their overall quality and personal skills to meet the requirements of the times and geological work.

1 Quality of geological data managers

Due to historical reasons, the overall quality of geological data managers in China is low at this stage. On the one hand, the team composition is complex, the level is uneven, the professional knowledge structure is not reasonable, the computer knowledge is poor, and the foreign language level is low. On the other hand, a few leaders haven't correctly positioned the geological data, and haven't really realized the important role of geological data in geological work, which makes the social status and economic benefits of geological data managers relatively low, affects their mental outlook and work attitude, and causes their work enthusiasm to be low, and their personal skills can't be fully exerted, which can't meet the needs of various prospecting and scientific research.

With the development of information technology and the innovation of network tools, modern geological data managers must change the traditional service mode and shift their focus from the past organization and storage to information provision and digitalization of information resources. Geological data managers should be "information consultants" and "information gold diggers". This requires geological data managers to adapt to the development of the new situation, learn geological professional knowledge, information processing technology and network technology, improve their comprehensive quality and serve the information society.

In fact, the present situation of geological data managers is really difficult to adapt to the ever-changing social needs, which puts forward a severe and urgent task for us: to adapt to the requirements of the times, improve the quality of geological data managers by using various methods and ways, adjust their knowledge structure, and promote and promote the development of geological data management.

2 Geological data management personnel should have the quality

Under the new situation, geological data managers should have the awareness of knowledge management, information service and innovation, and the main characteristics of their work are standardization, digitalization, informationization and socialization. With the digitalization of geological data, computerization of homework and networking of information transmission, higher requirements are put forward for managers' basic qualities such as knowledge structure, professional skills and foreign language level. It should be recognized that under the condition of knowledge economy, high-quality and skilled geological data managers are the main body of geological data information service industry.

(1) Master the basic theory, knowledge and skills of geological data management. Librarians should not only be proficient in archival science, philology and bibliography, but also have basic theoretical knowledge of geology and other disciplines.

(2) Master the information technology of geological data. With the diversification of information carrier forms, the management object of information library (room) has changed from traditional printed materials to multimedia documents, which requires managers to have corresponding computer technology, communication technology, network knowledge and audio-visual knowledge. You should not only have practical operation ability, but also understand and master advanced information retrieval language theory and application technology, master modern information processing technology and become an information navigator.

(3) improve the level of foreign languages. In the environment of academic internationalization, knowledge globalization and global informatization, geological data managers should also strive to master foreign language knowledge as a tool for information exchange, so as to quickly understand, select and obtain information resources.

(4) Learn the basic knowledge of related professional disciplines. Librarians are required to master more extensive basic knowledge of disciplines to meet the requirements of high-level geologists, so as to better assist geologists in geological prospecting and scientific research.

3 geological data management should have the professional quality of each type of work

(1) The management and acceptance personnel of original geological data should master the industry standards and requirements such as classification, filing and archiving of original geological files.

(2) The receiver of geological data should be able to conduct routine preliminary appraisal of the submitted geological data, such as distinguishing data types, authenticity, standardization of report preparation, completeness of content, format and submitted quantity.

(3) While mastering the format requirements of geological data submission, geological data acceptance personnel should also be familiar with the production of electronic documents of geological data, and carry out the acceptance of electronic documents in strict accordance with the standards required by relevant specifications, including color coding of geological maps, specification requirements of various geological maps, organization of various documents, etc.

(4) The personnel who provide geological data lending service should have the qualification of senior technical title or above, at the same time, they should also have certain field work experience and have written different types of geological reports, and at the same time provide consultation and technical discussion to achieve the purpose of improvement.

(5) The database maintenance personnel of geological data catalogue should master the skills of simple database update and modification, so as to ensure that the contents of the database can be updated in time and the database structure can be changed as required.

(6) The secondary developers of geological data should not only have their own professional knowledge, but also have the corresponding research ability, and be good at exploring the interrelationship and internal regularity of various data from various geological data to better serve the needs of the economy and society.

(7) The management personnel of physical geological data should master the management and collection requirements of cores, various specimens, optical slices, samples and other physical geological data, and be able to distinguish the collection specifications and preservation environmental indicators of various physical geological data.

4 How to improve the quality of geological data management personnel

(1) Leaders should fully understand the importance of improving the quality of geological data managers, optimizing the structure, improving the working environment and creating a harmonious working atmosphere. Relevant leaders should have sufficient understanding of improving the quality of geological data management personnel, and attach importance to and support the construction of geological database (room) as important as prospecting and scientific research. We should actively create conditions, ensure funds and time, encourage and help data managers to set development goals, broaden their knowledge, constantly update their knowledge, and adjust and improve their knowledge structure, so that data managers can shoulder the heavy responsibility entrusted by the times.

(2) Clear the gap, plan systematically, and formulate feasible training plans and training objectives. The quality of managers in each library (room) is different. According to their own situation and characteristics, we should adopt flexible and diverse ways, including participating in professional training, amateur education, academic activities, academic conferences, short-term training courses and other forms to improve the professional quality and skills of managers.

(3) Implement post rotation system to achieve * * * progress. The work system of rotation of different posts should be implemented, so that every staff member has the opportunity to contact all posts in geological data management. Set off a learning climax of learning from each other and making progress together.

(4) Introducing competition mechanism to encourage innovation. It is necessary to introduce a competitive mechanism, reward the diligent and punish the lazy, implement the post assessment system of the competent and the mediocre, and actively create a dynamic education and working environment, so that data managers have a sense of responsibility, a strong sense of professionalism and competition, and the consciousness and initiative of receiving education. It is necessary to advocate innovative consciousness, cultivate innovative spirit and give full play to the potential of geological data managers.
