Brief Introduction of China Agricultural Information Network

Since the opening of 1996, China Agricultural Information Network has been highly valued and cared by the leaders of previous ministries of agriculture, and has been understood and supported by various departments and relevant units. Minister Du Qinglin pointed out in his speech at the National Agricultural Work Conference from June 5 to/KLOC-0 to October 9, 2002 that China Agricultural Information Network should be built into the national agricultural core website. The Tenth Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes to make China Agricultural Information Network bigger and stronger, so that it can really play the leading role of the national agricultural core website and information network system. The proposal of the first phase of the "Golden Agriculture" project plans to expand the China Agricultural Information Network and build it into a national agricultural portal.

According to the above requirements, China Agricultural Information Network, as the official agricultural website of China government, has always adhered to the main development line of "two services", given full play to the advantages of all aspects, and gradually expanded its "one-stop" service with the support of business system information, and its influence at home and abroad is growing. The construction of e-government starts with authoritative and timely information release, the business norms and guidelines of the Ministry of Agriculture are made public online, and the status and results of administrative examination and approval projects are inquired online. The "one-stop" national simultaneous broadcast system of rural supply and demand information covers 3 1 93% of counties in each province (autonomous region or city), and the national agricultural product wholesale market price information network covers 325 markets, collecting and publishing the prices and market trends of 390 agricultural products every day. The agricultural system website group integrating more than 20 professional/industry websites and agricultural websites of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) has begun to take shape.

In the future, we will further highlight the functions of government information release, service orientation and communication and interaction, give full play to the pivotal role of the core portal website and the overall advantages of the agricultural system website group, and take practical measures to build China Agricultural Information Network into a national agricultural portal website with strong information release and user cohesion and greater international influence.
