Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College, referred to as Hunan Mass Media College for short, was jointly founded by Hunan Education Department, Hunan Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Bureau and Hunan Radio and Television Station. It is a national backbone vocational college and a school founded by Hunan Excellent Higher Vocational and Technical College.
The College was formally established in July 2000 on the basis of the former Hunan Bank School and Hunan Education TV Station. In 2002, Changsha County Teacher Training School merged; From June 5438 to February 2004, Hunan Radio and Television School was merged as a whole.
