Follow the inheritance of the venerable Wu Baqing and the teaching of S.N. Guernka.
Vipassana is one of the ancient Indian self-observation methods. As early as 2500 years ago in India, it was taught as a good medicine to treat all troubles, also known as the art of life.
Vipassana is to observe the truth, that is, to observe the true face of things: it is a process of purifying the body and mind by observing itself. At first, I improved my concentration by observing my natural breathing. Wait until the consciousness becomes more acute, and then observe the changing characteristics of body and mind, and experience the impermanence, bitterness and selflessness of the universe. This way of understanding reality through direct experience is the process of purification.
This book only introduces Professor S.N. Guernka's outline of Vipassana, hoping to enhance the understanding of Vipassana, the essence of Buddha's teaching. "Vipassana can make all sentient beings feel happy and free from pain."
-Thain Goenka.
Look inward at the physical and mental reality and calmly face the ups and downs of life.
Vipassana is a method of observing a person's physical and mental reality inward, seeing the root of all troubles with wisdom and getting rid of them; Vipassana is a process of developing inner wisdom and love, which enables people to face the ups and downs of life with a calm attitude. Vipassana is a good medicine for physical and mental pain, which can completely purify the mind and make all living beings fill love and mercy.
Look inward, gain insight into the truth and purify the body and mind.
Goenka: "The Master of the World"
The most influential Indian Vipassana master in the western world has delivered famous speeches at the United Nations, Davos Economic Forum and Bern.
Consciousness and normal thinking
Practicing Vipassana can cultivate wisdom and get relief. A pure heart is always full of love for others. William Hart, an American assistant coach of Vipassana, studied Vipassana with S.N. Guernka. He compiled the Vipassana course taught by teacher S.N. Goenka into a book called Vipassana, aiming at introducing the outline of Vipassana taught by teacher S.N. Goenka, hoping to enhance the understanding of Vipassana, the essence of Buddha's teaching.
Nan N.Goenka (S.N. Goenka), originally from India, was born in Myanmar in 1924. He is a teacher who teaches Vipassana according to the tradition of the late Myanmar Buddhist master Wu Baqing. 1955, S.N. Guernka began to learn Vipassana from Elder Wu Baqing. After fourteen years' guidance from elder Wu Baqing, Ge Yinka moved to India on 1969 to teach Vipassana. S. N. Goenka has taught more than 300 courses in India and other eastern and western countries, with tens of thousands of students. Since India began to teach courses, Vipassana centers have been established all over the world. Starting from 1982, S. N. Goenka began to appoint assistant teachers to help him guide the course to meet the increasing demand of the course. Professor S. N. Goenka's Vipassana method embodies the tradition of the Buddha era and deeply attracts people from different backgrounds all over the world to study. Preface to Living in Peace and Happiness S.N.S.N.
