Sunflower seed with shell contains 35% ~ 38% crude protein, sunflower seed cake with shell contains 22% ~ 26% crude protein, and methionine content is higher than that of soybean meal, reaching 1.6%, which is much higher than that of soybean meal. Through experiments, sunflower seed cake with shell can replace part of soybean meal, and lysine and balanced protein can completely replace soybean meal, but attention should be paid to the influence of residual oleic acid corruption. Sunflower seed cake has good palatability and high protein digestibility, but if it is pressed with shell, the crude fiber content is too high, so it can not be used in large quantities. Without detoxification, it can be directly used as a protein source to prepare feed, for example, 10- 15% can be used in feed formula.
