Who was the teacher of the Qing emperor Boyi?
Puyi has many teachers, including Xu Fang, Chen, Zhu Yifan and Liang Dingfen in Chinese, and Iktan in Manchu. During his six or seven years of study, Puyi mainly studied the Thirteen Classics, ancient poetry and ancient prose, as well as the meaning of the university, Zhu Zi's family precepts, the school motto of the courtyard, the extensive training of the Oracle and the imperial edict. Later, Johnston, a Scottish officer of the British Empire, served as the master of Puyi, teaching Puyi English, mathematics, world history and geography.
