Implemented on July 20 16, all transport types are required to report eManifest data before the specified time, but it is not enforced.
2020-11-0/to 202 1-0 1-03
It is suggested to start eManifest declaration, which can speed up customs clearance, but ACI supplementary declaration is still acceptable.
202 1-0 1-04 to 202 1-07-03
Except for FROB type, ACI supplementary declaration is no longer accepted;
In transit type, you can use the old ACI supplementary declaration or the new ACI eManifest declaration.
LCL goods, imported goods, are about to start customs declaration. During this period, if they fail to declare, they will receive a fine bill from the Canadian Customs, but they will not be fined. But the containers involved will be inspected by the customs!
202 1-07-04
Canadian customs began to impose fines.
If ACI is not sent as required, it will be delayed or omitted, and the Canadian Customs will issue a fine through the AMPS system, which can easily reach thousands of dollars.
What is ACI eManifest?
First of all, ACI (Advance Commercial Information) is a pre-declaration commercial information system, that is, the Canadian version of AMS manifest system. All goods imported or transiting Canada must declare ACI.
In ACI system, the shipping company should send the main manifest and ship information; The forwarder sends the sub-manifest information of S 10 supplementary goods;
EManifest is a new ACI for freight forwarders, which requires all freight forwarders to use eManifest system to send sub-manifest information instead of the old ACI S 10. Through ACI eManifest, sub-manifests of sea, air, rail and road transportation can be sent.
EManifest is also called eHBL(e House Bill of Lading) system.
Who should send ACI eManifest?
Freight forwarders who import/import goods to Canada or transfer goods through Canada should send e-mail;
For FROB or goods in transit, freight forwarders also need to use the old ACI transportation system to issue the supplementary sub-manifest of FROB or S 10 in transit.
What does eManifest need to send?
The electronic freight forwarding system requires freight forwarders to send the following information:
1 & gt; HBL sub-bill of lading (similar to the old version of S 10 replenishment sub-bill)
2> closing information (added eManifest): when all the sub-manifests under the master bill of lading have been issued, a closing information shall be issued, indicating that the previous cargo control number has been declared.
