What is the nature of consumer associations?

China Consumers Association is a consumer organization in China and a semi-official mass social organization. China Consumers Association and local consumer associations at all levels are established with the approval of the people's government at the same level and the approval of the civil affairs department, so they have the qualification of social organizations as legal persons.

Consumer associations have two tasks: one is to supervise goods and services, and the other is to protect consumers' rights and interests. Among international consumer organizations, international organization of consumers unions (IOCU) and European Consumer Union (BEUC) have great influence.

China Consumers Association was approved to be established in the State Council on June 1984+02. It is a national social organization that conducts social supervision on goods and services and protects the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
