Baishou Town is a famous hometown of longevity at home and abroad. There are many old people in the town, as well as the famous "Map of Bai Shou" stone carving. There is a statue of Liao Fu in front of the stone carving. There is a record in Yongning National Records: "Liao Fu, a native of Yongning, lived in front of Fuziyan (now Baishouyan) and had a dansha well at home. Everyone who has drunk this well is 100 years old. " In 2008, Yang Kui's "Ningshou Pavilion" stone tablet unearthed in Yongfu Baishouyan also recorded this: "There is a cinnabar well in front of the mountain, and Liao Fu gathers people to drink in it, and they live a long life."
Baishou Town also has Yongningzhou Ancient City, the most well-preserved stone city in the south of the Yangtze River, and one of the four well-preserved ancient cities in Ming Dynasty in China. It is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in the autonomous region together with the stone carvings of Baishoutu.
There are also a number of tourist attractions with rich cultural heritage, such as the Three Gorges, hanging coffins, Chongyang Tree, Jiuluoyan and Dongmen River rafting, among which Yongning Ancient City, Baishoutu Stone Carving, the Three Gorges and Jiuluoyan are of great development value.
The economy of Baishou Town is dominated by agriculture, and it is the most widely planted township in Yongfu County. There are abundant citrus fruits here, which can bring hundreds of millions of yuan in income to the villagers in Baishou Town every year. There are also special products such as Siraitia grosvenorii, mushrooms, fungus, winter bamboo shoots and yellow bamboo shoots. It is the largest wholesale market of Siraitia grosvenorii in China, the famous distribution center of agricultural and sideline products and the production base of high-quality fruits in northern Guangxi, and also the commercial, transportation and cultural center of Beisi Township in Yongfu County. At present, the fruit planting area in the town has reached 50,000 mu, with an annual output of tens of thousands of tons. Due to the unique local microclimate environment, high-quality citrus in Bai Shou has the characteristics of crisp meat, sweet taste, bright color, storage and transportation resistance, and is favored by domestic and foreign merchants and consumers. Products are exported to Guangdong, Shenzhen, Heilongjiang, Vietnam, Russia and other domestic and foreign markets.
In the development of township industrial enterprises, special attention is paid to environmental protection, with small hydropower and primary fruit processing as the leading industries.
