What should I check when giving birth to a child in a hospital?

Every hospital has different admission procedures, but the examination after admission is similar. After admission, although a few hospitals require pregnant women to go to the emergency room, most pregnant women will be immediately pushed into maternity wards or delivery rooms.

Remember, when you enter the hospital, you must take your pregnancy record with you. In the delivery room, midwives will take the following measures to evaluate the delivery progress of pregnant women.

1. Check vital signs

During the whole labor process, the midwife will repeatedly measure the pregnant woman's temperature, blood pressure, breathing and pulse, and ask about the uterine contraction, whether the fetal membrane has been broken, and the recent diet of the pregnant woman.

Step 2 protect

Monitor contractions of pregnant women and fetal heart rate in some way.

3. Internal diagnosis and inspection

Do an internal examination to determine whether the pregnant woman's cervix is open. If everything is normal in the pre-labor period, pregnant women can go home and be hospitalized temporarily when they give birth voluntarily.

Step 4 simply ask about the medical history

First ask about the history of pregnancy, what methods pregnant women want to take to relieve the pain of childbirth, and then let pregnant women change into hospital hospital gowns. Some hospitals allow pregnant women to wear their own clothes.

5. Intravenous infusion

If pregnant women have a history of caesarean section and are in danger of postpartum hemorrhage, they must be given intravenous infusion in advance. If epidural anesthesia is needed during delivery, intravenous infusion is also needed in advance. In addition, it is necessary to take blood from vein, test blood type and check whether there is anemia.
