New energy science and engineering (original wind energy and power engineering)
This major is a provincial-level specialty in Gansu Province. Based on the theories of aerodynamics, engineering mechanics, thermoengineering, mechanics, electrotechnics and electronics, we will cultivate applied senior professionals who can master the basic theory and application technology of the development, transformation and utilization of new energy, mainly wind energy and solar energy, and the research and development of its power system, adapt to the strategic needs of national economic development and energy development, and have an international vision and innovative spirit. Graduates can engage in the planning, design, construction, project management, operation and maintenance of wind and solar power stations, the design, manufacture and research and development of wind turbines, and the measurement and evaluation of wind and solar energy resources in industries such as clean energy and electricity, new energy equipment, aerospace, national defense and military industry, and universities, research institutes, governments and other relevant departments.
This major is a full-time four-year academic system, and undergraduate graduates are awarded a bachelor's degree in engineering. This major has doctoral programs, master programs and postdoctoral mobile stations in power engineering and engineering thermophysics, and doctoral programs and master programs in fluid machinery and engineering, power machinery and engineering, renewable energy and environmental engineering, thermal engineering and engineering thermophysics.
