What is data encryption in mobile phone security settings?

This function can be used to encrypt all data on the mobile phone, including Google account, application data, music and other media information, downloaded information, etc. If encryption is performed, you must enter a numeric PIN or password every time you turn on the computer.

Please note that the above PIN or password is the same as that used when you unlock your phone in an unencrypted state, and cannot be set separately.

Warning: The encryption operation cannot be undone. The only way to restore your phone to the unencrypted state is to restore the factory settings, but this will delete all your data.

If your mobile phone is stolen, encryption can provide additional protection, and some organizations may require or suggest using encryption. Please consult your system administrator before enabling encryption. In many cases, the encryption PIN or password you set is controlled by the system administrator.

Before enabling encryption, please make the following preparations:

(1) Set the screen lock PIN or password.

(2) Charge the battery.

(3) Plug in the mobile phone.

(4) Arrange an hour or more for the encryption process, and don't interrupt this process, otherwise some or all data will be lost.

When you are ready to enable encryption, do the following:

(1) In the home screen or all application screens, touch the settings icon.

(2) Touch Personal > Security > Encryption > Encrypted Phone.

(3) Please read the information about encryption carefully.

If you don't charge the battery or plug in the phone, you can't use the encrypted phone button. If you change your mind and don't want to encrypt your phone, please touch the "Back" button.

Warning: Interrupting the encryption process will result in data loss.

(4) Touch the encrypted mobile phone.

(5) Enter the lock screen PIN or password, and then touch to continue.

(6) Touch the encrypted mobile phone again.

At this point, the encryption process begins and its progress will be displayed on the screen. The encryption process may take an hour or more, during which your phone may restart several times.

After the encryption is completed, you will be prompted to enter your PIN or password.

In the future, you need to enter a PIN or password to decrypt every boot.

2. After resetting the mobile phone, the user needs to re-enter the same information that needs to be entered when setting up the mobile phone for the first time.
