Citizens of People's Republic of China (PRC) and China shall register their household registration in accordance with the provisions of these regulations. The accounts of military personnel shall be handled by military organs in accordance with the relevant provisions on the administration of military personnel. These Regulations shall apply to the household registration of foreigners and stateless persons living in People's Republic of China (PRC), except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

When the contents of household registration need to be changed or corrected, the head of household or himself shall report to the household registration authority; If it is verified through examination, the household registration authority shall change or correct it.
