Operating instructions for insulating glass composite adhesive tape

As an insulating glass factory, it is used to replace butyl sealant, aluminum strip, corner inlay, desiccant and other price products. Its main components are polyisobutylene, butyl rubber and molecular sieve with permanent viscosity, which are mixed in a reasonable proportion and then extruded and compounded with corrugated aluminum plate, polymer heat insulation strip and aluminum foil film. Hebei Xu Hang Rubber Industry Co., Ltd., as a professional manufacturer of insulating glass composite tape, makes the following explanation for insulating glass composite tape:

1, finished product installation:

When installing insulating glass in doors and windows, the sealing of insulating glass must be above the doors and windows to ensure that the glass will not be damaged by the extrusion of sash materials during use. The drainage channels of doors and windows must be clear, the door frame must not have water, and gaskets should be added under the glass.

2, glass cutting:

Try not to cut oil with glass. If glass cutting oil is used, it must be kerosene soluble in water and cleaned.

3. Placement of rubber strip:

The distance between the starting end of the rubber strip and the edge of the glass is 1.5-2mm (non-inflatable hollow glass, the edge of the rubber strip is straight, the corner should be 90 degrees, and the last mouth of the rubber strip should be two or three millimeters. It is forbidden to touch the inner surface of the glass and the adhesive tape. )

4. Heat and temperature:

After the insulating glass comes out of the hot press, the temperature of the adhesive tape should be 40-50℃. If the temperature is too high, the negative pressure inside the insulating glass is too high, which will lead to cracking or leakage of the glass and deformation of the adhesive tape. If the temperature is too low, it will lead to poor adhesion.

5. Thickness of insulating glass:

During hot-pressing operation, the rubber strip should be pressed as low as possible, so that the contact surface between rubber strip and glass will not leak and rubber strip will not fall. Insulating glass with leaking rubber strips can't leave the factory, and too much or too little compression will lead to sealing failure.

6. Sealing:

Cold sealing operation must be taken in the following three situations.

1) The specification of rubber strip is greater than12mm; ;

2) Short side of insulating glass

3) The area of the whole piece of insulating glass exceeds two square meters.

7. Secondary seal:

When the size of insulating glass is ≥25m? (1500* 1800mm), the middle of the four corners and long sides of the insulating glass must be sealed at six points. When the size of insulating glass is ≥27m? (1500*2000mm), all the seals at the short sides and corners of the insulating glass and the middle of the long sides shall be sealed for the second time.

Note: a. The thickness of the secondary sealant layer is 3-5 mm;

B polysulfide adhesive used for secondary sealant can only be used after compatibility test with rubber strip.

8. Strip storage:

The unprocessed rubber strip must be sealed and stored in a sealed bag (after the desiccant is still in the rubber strip, direct contact with air should be minimized). Finished products should be placed and stored. A-type bracket with elevation angle of 6- 15 degrees shall be placed at a right angle of 90 degrees with insulating glass, with no more than 25 pieces in a single piece, and the seal is upward.

9. It is forbidden to contact the test strip with solvent or use it as a compatibility test strip;

10, it is forbidden to apply this kind of products to glass curtain walls.

1 1. It is forbidden to use any interesting glue for bonding or sealing between insulating glass and window frames. It is suggested that insulating glass be inlaid with thong, otherwise it will lead to serious failure.
