What is the teaching method of Happy English?

The course of Happy English fully takes into account the skills requirements listed by the National Academy of Sciences and the conclusions of the National Reading Expert Group. Combination teaching method is adopted in all course study and reading exercises: based on the principle of "emphasizing interest, perception, accumulation, migration and habit", the combination teaching method creatively integrates reading with narration, singing, painting, acting, comparison, questioning, thinking and writing, forming a new reading teaching method. This teaching method is based on the basic law of reading teaching, aiming at the disadvantages of boring, ignorant and inefficient reading brought by the teaching method of only teachers blindly explaining and analyzing.

The combination teaching method mainly adopts the following specific methods:

(1) Phonetic Alphabet Teaching Method: At present, it is the most respected English teaching method in the world, and it is also the method adopted by American children's language enlightenment. Through phonetic learning, children can establish an intuitive sense of sound between letters and pronunciations. When they see words, they can immediately and intuitively reflect the pronunciation. Similarly, when they hear the pronunciation, they can intuitively reflect the spelling of words.

This is the first meaning of happy English.

(2)TPR (Total Body Response) teaching method: proposed by California psychologist James J. Asher (1988). The total response teaching method emphasizes the interactive mode in language learning. Through rich body language, physical teaching AIDS, pictures, etc. Children can feel and fully understand English content through sight, hearing and touch, and learn easily without pressure.

Happy English's colorful interface, cute and interesting cartoon images, funny and interesting animations and pure American pronunciation bring wonderful audio-visual enjoyment to children.

(3) Story teaching method: it is a method to achieve teaching objectives through story teaching. Children's age characteristics determine that they like fantasy, prefer simple and lively narrative methods, and are easy to accept emotional expressions with clear love and hate. This method is mainly to attract children's attention.

There are many vivid and interesting stories in Happy English. Children can learn English imperceptibly by reading interesting stories.

(4) Game teaching method: refers to the form of games to let children learn English unconsciously. The fun, autonomy, exploration and repetition of children's games make children's interest in learning English sustainable.

There are many games in Happy English. Children can learn pure American English unconsciously through play and study.

(5) Inquiry-discovery teaching method: a teaching method to cultivate children's ability to ask questions and explore and discover problems. As early as 18 and 19 centuries, French educator J.J. Rousseau and American educator J.Dewey advocated practice. In 1960s, American psychologist J.S. Bruner put forward this teaching method according to Piaget's theory of intellectual structure development. Exploration and discovery teaching method can mobilize children's positive thinking, improve teaching efficiency, create new situations, stimulate children's thirst for knowledge and guide children's positive thinking. Guide children to explore truth, analyze and solve practical problems, and activate children's thinking function to the maximum extent. To attach importance to the cultivation of ability, we must let children move their eyes, talk, think and do things, that is, let children move and remember. If children are interested, they can actively participate, and the teaching effect will get twice the result with half the effort.

Many games of Happy English need children to try and explore independently, and children can get a great sense of accomplishment in discovery.

(6) Procedural teaching method: Procedural teaching method is a teaching method that uses procedural teaching materials to learn by individual self-study. Students learn independently with the help of machines, so it is also called machine teaching. Program teaching is a machine designed by American educational psychologist S.L. Precy to teach automatically with practical materials according to the law of practice, the law of effect and the law of proximate cause in E.L. Thorndike's learning law. Later, based on this, American experimental psychologist B.F. Skinner designed a program teaching material with the theory of operant conditioning and active reinforcement. Due to the different theoretical viewpoints of psychologists from different schools, many program models have emerged, including: ① Skinner's linear program. (2) Precy's linear selection answering program. (3) American N.A. Claude Some countries in the world have successively realized the derivative program or internal program of this method for multiple selection reactions. (4) linear and branching programs of H. Kay in Britain.

The game of Happy English is actually a self-study program.
