Academy of Fine Arts refers to an artist group organized for various purposes, such as promoting the development of national art, cultivating artists, holding regular exhibitions and awarding honorary members.
There are eight independent professional fine arts institutions in China, namely Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art Academy, Xi Academy of Fine Arts, sichuan fine arts institute Academy, Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Hubei Academy of Fine Arts and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, which are usually called "the Eight Fine Arts Institutes". There are also Shandong Academy of Arts and Crafts, Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts and other artistic colleges. Among them, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art and Xi Academy of Fine Arts have doctoral degrees.
Professional Academy of Fine Arts:
China Academy of Art: Ph.D. major in fine arts and design. Teaching units with the right to award theoretical doctorates in fine arts, design and art are recruiting postdoctoral students.
Xi Academy of Fine Arts: three first-class disciplines, namely, art theory, art and design, were granted the right to confer doctoral degrees.
Sichuan fine arts institute: Four first-class disciplines (art theory, art, design, drama, film and television).
Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts: Fine Arts and Art Design are the key disciplines in Liaoning Province, and Art is the key construction discipline of philosophy and social sciences in Liaoning Province.
Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts: There are three first-class master degree programs in fine arts, design and art theory, and 1 professional degree program (Master of Arts).
Hubei Academy of Fine Arts: Art, design and art theory are the first-class disciplines.
Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts: There are two master's programs in fine arts and design arts, and two municipal key disciplines (fine arts and art design).
