Shanghai expatriates, educated youth, or people who work in other provinces and cities for other reasons (hereinafter referred to as "emigrants") and their spouses retire at the legal age of the country, or elderly people who have reached the age of 60 and women have reached the age of 55 may return to Shanghai to settle down if they meet one of the following conditions:

(1) If both husband and wife are foreigners from Shanghai, the following provisions shall apply:

2. If there are no children, they can settle in the domicile of their parents, brothers and sisters or their legal residence in Shanghai at the same time or successively;

3. If there are no children in other provinces and cities, and their children in Shanghai are cancelled due to enlistment, going abroad (border), death (missing) or being sentenced, they can settle in the place where their parents, brothers and sisters have registered, or their relatives have legally lived in Shanghai at the same time or successively.

(2) If one of the spouses is a foreigner in Shanghai and the spouse has been registered for marriage in other provinces and cities for 10 years, the following provisions shall apply:

1, which can be settled at the same time or successively in the birthplace of the child's household registration;

2. Without children, if one of the husband and wife is an educated youth in Shanghai and enjoys social insurance benefits, they can settle in their parents', brothers and sisters' accounts or their legal residences in Shanghai; Those who do not enjoy social insurance benefits should settle in their own legal residence in Shanghai. Spouses from other provinces and cities can move with them, or apply after the Shanghai branch and educated youth return to Shanghai to settle down;

3, Shanghai branch, educated youth has died, and his spouse has not remarried in other provinces and cities, and can settle in the place where the children's household registration is located;

4, for other reasons to work in other provinces and cities of the original Shanghai hukou personnel died, their spouses in other provinces and cities did not remarry, other provinces and cities without children, can be settled in their children's accounts.

(3) Shanghai emigrants are single elderly people who have not given birth or adopted children, and can settle in the place where their parents, brothers and sisters are registered, or where they and their relatives legally live in Shanghai.
