What is the warranty coverage?
Limited by the guarantee and relief provided by applicable laws, Apple Computer Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Address: Area C, No.88 Maji Road, Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Shanghai/Building KLOC-0/2? Shanghai, China) ("Apple Company") guarantees that the Apple brand products and accessories in the original packaging will be available within one year (1) from the date indicated in the official tax receipt ("invoice") provided to the original end-user buyer on the retail purchase date (or within a longer period stipulated by applicable laws) ("warranty period"). The guide published by Apple includes but is not limited to the information contained in technical specifications, user manuals and service information.
What does this warranty not cover?
This warranty does not apply to any non-Apple branded hardware products or any software (even if packaged or sold with Apple hardware). Manufacturers, suppliers or publishers other than Apple can provide you with their own guarantees. Please contact them for more information. Apple-branded or non-Apple-branded software (including but not limited to system software) distributed by Apple is not covered by this warranty, unless such software affects the normal operation of Apple products. Please read the license agreement that came with the software to learn more about your rights to use the software. Apple does not guarantee that the operation of Apple products will not be disturbed or wrong. Apple is not responsible for the damage caused by not following the instructions for the use of Apple products.
This warranty does not apply to: (a) consumable parts that wear over time, such as batteries or protective films, unless the failure is caused by defects in materials or workmanship; (b) Surface damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken port glue; (c) Damage caused by use with other products * * *; (d) Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, earthquake or other external causes; (e) Damage caused by operating Apple products without following the guidelines issued by Apple; (f) Damage caused by services (including upgrades and extensions) provided by Apple representatives or anyone other than Apple authorized service providers; (g) Apple products modified to change their functions or performance without the written permission of Apple; (h) Defects caused by normal wear or aging of apple products, or (i) Apple products with any serial number removed or smeared.
