Characteristics of hollow disease

Characteristics of hollow disease

1. What is hollow disease?

Hollow disease was put forward by Professor Xu Kaiwen, deputy director of Peking University Psychological Center. More precisely, it is called "psychological barrier caused by values defect".

The most common phenomenon is that you can't find yourself-you don't know why you want to study and why you want to live. Living is just living according to other people's logic. In the most extreme state, you just give up on yourself.

2. Seven characteristics of hollow disease:?

1. Hollow disease looks like depression, with depressed mood, decreased interest and no pleasure. But unlike typical depression, all these symptoms are not very serious and prominent, so they may be no different from other students or most other people in appearance.

2. They will have a strong sense of loneliness and meaninglessness.

This kind of loneliness comes from the fact that there seems to be no real connection with the world and people around, and all connections become very illusory; More importantly, they don't know why they want to live, and what is the value and significance of living. Even if you get what you want, your heart is still empty and you have a strong sense of meaninglessness.

3. Usually the interpersonal relationship is good. I care about what others think of me. I need to maintain a good self-image in the eyes of others. I need to be a good child, a good student, a good husband and a good wife.

But it seems that all this is done for others, so it is very hard and tired.

4. Have strong suicidal thoughts. This suicidal idea is not because of the difficulties, pains and setbacks in reality, but in their words:

"I don't want to die, but I don't know why I want to live.

I don't know what my life value is. Every day, my life is dead. If so, I might as well finish it early. "

This problem is not a day or two. Perhaps from junior high school, high school, or even earlier, there has been such confusion.

6, insensitive to biotherapy, or even ineffective. In other words, it seems that biological factors are not the main factors leading to their problems.

7. Lack of values that support its sense of meaning and existence. Their problems may not be solved by changing negative cognition, even by studying their problems in family of origin, or by early trauma.

You will find that they have a good relationship with their parents. Although there are some conflicts, it is not a typical problem of parents' divorce, early attachment and early foster care

The core problem is the lack of values that support its sense of meaning and existence.
