Lv Zuqian (11April 9, 37-1/September 9, 865438) is known internationally as "Mr. Donglai", which is different from Bozuruben and also called "Mr. Xiaodong Lai". Wuzhou (now Jinhua, Zhejiang) was born in Shouzhou (now Fengtai, Anhui). A famous Neo-Confucianist and litterateur in Southern Song Dynasty, he was born in "Donglai Lushi", the grandson of Lv Yijian VI and the son of Lu Daqi.

Lv Zuqian was well-informed, advocated understanding and practice, applied what he had learned, opposed empty talk about mind and nature, and founded the East Zhejiang School.
