In principle, the tax refund application shall be handled by the tax refund applicant himself. If an agent is required, the agent must provide the original valid identity documents of both parties, the client's passport, my power of attorney (no format requirements), the original tax refund form and the original shopping receipt (some countries do not need to provide shopping receipts for tax refund, please consult the Bank of China for details). According to the national policies and regulations on the settlement and sale of foreign exchange, if it is necessary to convert the tax refund into RMB, it is also necessary to provide proof of immediate family members. If the tax refund applicant needs to apply for the BOC card himself, the agent can open it on the spot.
China Bank's tax refund outlets will review and record the valid identity documents of tax refund applicants and their agents and the electronic images of tax refund applicants' passports. Resident identity cards must be verified through the online verification system. If the identity of the tax refund applicant cannot be confirmed, the tax refund applicant must provide other certificates.
The agent needs to provide a power of attorney. The power of attorney has no format requirements, but it should include the following information: name of the agent, ID card information, passport information, name of the agent, ID card information, authorization items and authorization period.
