This major is a first-class major in Jiangsu Province, a star-rated major in Jiangsu Independent College and a six-star major in China Independent College Alumni Association Network. Following the development needs of the industry, we set up three directions: digital design and manufacturing, mold design and manufacturing, and 3D printing, aiming at cultivating outstanding technical innovation talents who can skillfully use 3D digital design and manufacturing technology of machinery and engage in product innovation design and 3D drawing (CAD), finite element simulation analysis (CAE), process route planning (CAPP) and product processing and manufacturing (CAM) in R&D departments, design institutes and innovation centers of enterprises and institutions.
This major follows the new engineering concept, based on the four-way linkage mechanism of "government, school and enterprise", and establishes the first 3D technology research center in Jiangsu Province in conjunction with Taizhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Jiangsu 3D printing industry technology innovation strategic alliance. Taking "3D design, reverse engineering, 3D printing, AR/VR virtual reality and digital Li Sheng" as the research direction, we will build a high-quality collaborative education platform integrating teaching, training, scientific research and social services.
Relying on the 3D Technology Research Center, this major extensively expands employment channels, conducts high-level subject competitions, and actively helps students take the postgraduate entrance examination. In recent years, students have won 155 prizes at or above the provincial level in various disciplines competitions, and 67 people have won "985" and "2 1 1" university graduate students. Graduates are mainly employed in the field of mechanical engineering and automation in the Yangtze River Delta and other regions, and their employment salaries are relatively high.
