How many times did Zheng He go to the West and pass through Quanzhou?

Yes, in ancient times, Quanzhou was the largest foreign port in the world.

Zheng He's voyages to the West are closely related to Fujian. Changle, Fujian Province is the starting point of Zheng He's voyage to the Western Ocean, and Taiping Port in Changle was once the port where Zheng He's shipmates were stationed. Quanzhou is the anchorage of Zheng He's fifth voyage to the Western Ocean and the only place he has to pass through for many times, and it has also left quite a wealth of historical documents and physical monuments.

The history of Fujian remembers that figure.

Zheng He's voyages to the West are closely related to Fujian. Quanzhou is the anchorage of Zheng He's fifth voyage to the Western Ocean and the only place he has to pass through for many times, and it has also left quite a wealth of historical documents and physical monuments.

Chen Peng, an expert in Quanzhou literature and history, once wrote "Zheng He and the Exploration of Quanzhou Monuments" and talked about many monuments left by Zheng He in Quanzhou. Among them, there are many relics, such as the incense of Lingshan Tomb outside the East Gate of Quanzhou, the worship of Jing Qing Temple in Quanzhou, the prayer for the wind in Jiuri Mountain, the altar worship at the Sambo Palace in Langshan Mountain, the incense distribution at the Shigu Temple in Qingyang, and the camping in Sanbao Street in Shenzhen and Shanghai. These relics are confirmed by corresponding physical objects or historical documents. Last spring, Quanzhou began the first city-wide survey of Zheng He's historical sites. Due to the numerous historical sites left by Zheng He, it became the main attraction for CCTV to shoot the feature film1405-Zheng He's voyage to the West.

Fujian Changle is the starting point of Zheng He's seven voyages to the West in Kaiyang, and Changle Taiping Port is the port where Zheng He's shipmates are stationed. Before Zheng He's seven voyages to the West, he carved a stone tablet of "The Story of Tian Fei's Spiritual Response" in Changle. After Zheng He returned from his third trip to the West, he built the Tianfei Palace on the east side of the Three Peaks Tower in Nanshan, Changle. The bronze bell of Sanqing Hall in China National Museum was cast before Zheng He's seven voyages to the West. In addition, there are Shiyang Street in Changle where Zheng He was stationed, Sanfeng Pagoda in Song Dynasty renamed by Zheng He, Princess Tian Temple (collapsed in 1956 and rebuilt in the original site in 200 1 year), Sambo Rock and the statue of Zheng He in Sambo Rock, which are places where Zheng He rebuilt Feng Long Academy and were newly discovered in recent years.

The most precious cultural relic in existence is the provincial cultural protection unit-Tian Fei Ling Ying Zhibei. This is the seventh expedition of Zheng He in November of the sixth year of Xuande in Ming Dynasty. The full text is 1 177, which records the time of Zheng He's seven voyages to the West, the countries he visited and his activities in Changle. Hundreds of years later, it became the most precious data for studying Zheng He's voyages to the West in China, and it is now kept in Changle Zheng He Museum of Historical Relics.

Why did Zheng He choose Fujian?

Why did Zheng He choose Changle and Quanzhou? In other words, why did Zheng He choose Fujian?

Historians believe that Fujian made several contributions to Zheng He's voyages to the West-

First, it built a seagoing ship for Zheng He's voyage to the West. Moreover, Fujian's climate is particularly suitable for fleet assembly and navigation.

In addition to the unique geographical conditions, Fujian has a strong shipbuilding force as the backing. There are few mountains and arable land in Fujian, and coastal people take the sea as their field, fishing in the sea, sailing and trading as their main occupations. Fujian has a vast mountainous area and rich forest resources, which provides a material basis for the development of shipbuilding industry. On the other hand, Fujian has a long history and rich experience in shipbuilding. Changle is the earliest shipyard, and Quanzhou is also a famous shipyard in Fujian. Fortune Boat has long been quite famous. According to textual research, because Zheng He's fleet set sail from Wuhumen, Taiping Port, Changle, Fujian Province every time, in order to facilitate Zheng He's voyage to the West, Taiping Port built some treasure ships.

Zheng He's research experts believe that Zheng He's voyages to the West ranged from 48 times to 63 times. Relevant records show that Fujian has built 380 ships five times, enough for six voyages to the West during Yongle period. Judging from the construction time, these five treasure ships were all built for Zheng He's voyage to the West, and all five treasure ships were built in Fujian. From the construction site, they are all in Changle, the berthing base. There is a clear record in Volume 27 1 of Fu Jian Tong Zhi: "In the first month of spring in the seventh year (1409), the eunuch Zheng He sailed from Fujian to the southwest and built a huge ship in Changle."

The second is to transport a lot of manpower for Zheng He's voyage to the West.

At that time, Quanzhou and Changle in Fujian were the coastal Zou Lu and the land of plenty, which could provide all kinds of navigation, trade and translation talents for Zheng He's voyages to the West and supplement maritime materials. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the overseas trade of Quanzhou Port was unprecedentedly prosperous. Although it began to decline in the Ming Dynasty, the economy was still very developed.

In recent years, some discoveries in Quanzhou's literary and historical circles also show that Zheng He recruited boatmen in Quanzhou when he went to the West. It can be inferred from the contents of the manuscript "Deng's Genealogy" found in Anxi last year that he was the first Quanzhou person to go to the West with Zheng He.

Fujian native Wang Jinghong has also attracted the attention of many historians in recent years. Zheng He's navigation skills and experience alone are hard to bear for the large-scale navigation activities of commanding seven voyages to the West. Wang Jinghong, a Fujian native with the status of "ambassador", is Zheng He's right-hand man. He is the chief navigator on all previous voyages. He personally led the fleet around the eastern Atlantic, and he also undertook the mission of sending ambassadors to overseas countries many times.

The third is to receive and escort the diplomatic envoys of various countries in China.

After Zheng He's voyage to the West, he greatly promoted peaceful and friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries and promoted foreign economic and trade. Kings of many countries, their relatives and envoys accompanied Zheng He's treasure ship to pay tribute to China, landed in Fuzhou or Quanzhou, and then went to Beijing by post road.

Zheng He's seven voyages to the Western Seas created the history of world navigation, because every time he went to sea, he had close ties with Fujian, which also brought unprecedented prosperity to Fujian's shipbuilding, navigation and social and economic development. In the Ming Dynasty, Wang Yingshan recorded in Du Minji that Zheng He built ships in Changle, making trade like a cloud. (Zheng Li)

On May 16, a series of activities "Zheng He's Sailing to the West and Overseas Chinese" opened in Changle. More than 700 guests from more than 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Canadian, Australian, Malaysian, Indonesian, Philippine, Chinese mainland, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and Macau, attended the event.
