What happened to a citizen in Nanjing who was cheated by the "landlord" for 8000 yuan in renting a house online?

Recently, a citizen of Nanjing was cheated out of 8,000 yuan by a "landlord" who had never met before for convenience. The Qinhuai police in Nanjing summarized the alarm of online rental fraud and found that most of the deceived people believed in the three serial lies of "low price and good house, people in other places, and documents as collateral".

On February 26th, the Hongwu Road Police Station of Qinhuai Branch of Nanjing Public Security Bureau received an alarm. Police officer Xiao Xia, a woman in her twenties, claimed that she was cheated out of renting a house for thousands of dollars. After receiving the report, the police immediately launched an investigation.

The first lie: low price and good house

Before the incident, Xiao Xia's rented house was about to expire. She heard that it is convenient to rent a house on the mobile phone rental software, so she downloaded a rental software. Xiao Xia found many satisfactory houses in the software. After comparison, she chose a house in the center of the city, which is much cheaper than the same lot.

The second lie: people are in other places.

Xiao Xia contacted each other with software, but he never went online. Xiao Xia was worried about the house being rented, so she added the micro signal provided by the publisher. The two communicated on WeChat, and the publisher said that he was working in a foreign country, and the house in Nanjing was always empty. Xiao Xia suggested looking at the house sometime. Zhang said that he was very busy at work and couldn't come back for a while. However, there are photos of the house in his mobile phone, which can be sent to Xiao Xia.

The third lie: the certificate is mortgaged.

I hesitated to have a good look at this room when Zhang was free. The other party readily agreed, saying that his house was in short supply and might be rented out soon. Zhang said that as long as he paid the deposit, he would not rent out the house and leave it to her. Zhang saw the doubts and immediately gave her a "reassurance" and sent her photo of her ID card. She dropped her guard and immediately transferred her 500 yuan deposit to Zhang.

Zhang has been slow to return to Nanjing. Anxious to move, Zhang felt that it was real, so he volunteered to rent the house directly without looking at it. When paying, Xiao Xia kept an eye on it, paid only half of the rent, and promised to pay the rest after getting the room key. At the beginning of March, Zhang told me that he really couldn't spare the time, arranged for someone to put the house key on the bus back to Ning and gave her the driver's phone number. At the appointed time, Zhang told the license plate number and asked her to pay the rest of the rent together. Xiao Xia immediately dialed the driver's phone, and a strange man told her that the bus would arrive at the station in ten minutes.

Xiao Xia immediately paid the rent to the landlord in one lump sum. She waited at the long-distance station for more than an hour, but never saw the car mentioned by Zhang. She contacted the bus driver again, and the other party was turned off. Wechat contacted Zhang again and found that she had been blacked out by the other party. Xiao Xia asked the station staff and learned that there was no bus with this license plate number.

Realizing that she might be cheated, she still didn't give up and wanted to see the rented place with her own eyes. At this time, she remembered that the specific address was not published in the rental software, and Zhang was very vague every time.

Xiao Xia confirmed that he had been cheated and called the police to the public security organ. During the investigation, the police found that the photo of the ID card sent to the post was also forged.
