Lanzhou Shuping Interchange is one of the key projects of Lanhai Expressway, the largest hub interchange in Gansu Province, the transportation hub from Lanzhou to Qinghai, Xinjiang and Zhongchuan airports, and the gateway and image window of Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. Shuping Interchange is magnificent, with soft lines and strong sense of modernization, which shows the positive spirit of Lanzhou people. Shuping Interchange is located at the fork of Yinjiazhuang Road, Shuping Township, Yongdeng County. The three directions are Lanzhou, Qinghai and Zhongchuan Airport, all of which are connected by expressways. This is a typical two-way double Y-shaped interchange. The design speed of interchange is 80Km/h, the width of main subgrade is 24.5m, the width of ramp is 12.5m, and the design load is automobile-super class 20, trailer-120. Shuping Interchange has the characteristics of high construction standard, large-scale bridge project, soft alignment and beautiful shape. It is the first large-scale hub interchange with five super-large, large and medium-sized bridges in our province.

Shuping overpass bridge is elegant and light in shape, difficult in design and high in technology, which is manifested in the following aspects:

1. The main girder is a large cantilever box-section beam with bidirectional prestressed concrete structure. The overall plane and longitudinal plane of the bridge are curved in space, and the two bridges are crossed in Y shape, with soft and comfortable linear shape, light and elegant structure and strong sense of lines. This type of structure was used for the first time in the design of interchange bridge in our province, which got rid of the dilemma that prefabricated beam and slab could not realize heterosexual bridge.

2. The pier adopts single-column pier and double-column pier, which makes the space under the bridge open and has strong permeability.

3. The abutment pile foundation adopts the "reverse drilling method" technology, which solves the problems of bump at the bridge head and difficulty in ensuring the compactness behind the abutment, and reduces the project cost. The "reverse excavation method" construction technology is adopted in the culvert construction of filling subgrade, which makes full use of the verticality of dense loess and adopts the reverse excavation method to solve the problem that the back of culvert abutment is not dense. These two construction technologies are the first in this project, and have been popularized and used in many subsequent projects.

4. In the design of interchange, after continuous upgrading, this achievement is still used in route design.

5. Geological exploration adopts the method of combining geophysical exploration, seismic exploration and drilling.

6. The area where the route of this project passes belongs to temperate semi-arid climate, with dry and little rain, large daily temperature difference and high mountains and deep valleys along the route.
