What does uvo mean?

The UVO system of Pacific Auto Network was jointly developed by Kia and Microsoft. Although there are many similar systems, UVO has its own characteristics. UVO in-vehicle information system includes three parts and five functions, namely, on-vehicle part, mobile phone part and background part, which respectively correspond to five functions of vehicle diagnosis/vehicle problem consultation, destination setting, SOS rescue, vehicle remote control and security service.

Through the UVO2.0 system, car owners can use their smartphones to send Google Maps services and other functions to their vehicles. Once received successfully, the vehicle will automatically record the Bluetooth information of the smart phone for the convenience of the owner's next application, and the Google Maps service information sent by the mobile phone will also be automatically recorded in CarCareWeb.

Many people have the experience that they can't find their cars in the parking lot. Nowadays, many intelligent driving systems also provide the function of vehicle position prompt, but most of them just whistle or light prompt, and version 2.0 can do better. When parking, the owner can take a photo of the vehicle with his smart phone, write a memo and store it on the phone or in the form of e-mail and set an alarm signal for it. When the owner can't find the car, the UVO system can find the car through the location of the car marked on the map and the related environment through the smartphone application. With the help of the camera, the software can also indicate the vehicle orientation in real time in the form of images.

In addition to new functions such as hotspot sharing and parking warning, UVO2.0 also optimizes existing functions. For example, in vehicle care service, UVO2.0 will not only send out diagnostic information and contact dealers when there is a problem with the vehicle, but also record whether the driving behavior of the owner is safe and environmentally friendly, and give a score, and finally rank it in relevant networks to encourage drivers to drive the vehicle safely.
