Personally, if there is no strong desire to go abroad for further study and settle down abroad, it can be said that it is of little use not to go abroad to take the IELTS test. However, we can't completely deny its value in other aspects. For IELTS, CET-4, CET-6 and some English majors in China, taking the IELTS test proves one's strength and is also an important way to enrich one's English knowledge.
2. You can better find a job in a foreign company.
Some people choose to take IELTS or TOEFL in order to enter foreign companies in the future. For some friends who want to work in a foreign company after graduating from college, IELTS can highlight your ability to handle some foreign affairs and may be appreciated by your boss. Small station education tells us that IELTS is different from some English proficiency tests in China. It is a favorable way to improve candidates' English to be more strict with candidates in all aspects of English learning.
