My functional department is the administrative department of the college. Main responsibilities include: enrollment, teaching management, student management, logistics support, information construction, etc. During my work here, I mainly served as the post of Admissions Department, responsible for enrollment publicity, enrollment consultation, enrollment document review and so on.
I think it is best to be familiar with the business and processes of the college and have a comprehensive understanding of the operation of the school when working in a functional department. Moreover, because the functional departments have certain cooperation with other departments, they can meet many teachers and classmates at work, which is also very beneficial for communication and learning.
Working in functional departments is stressful, because functional departments are the central departments of the college, and many businesses need to be completed within the specified time. If there is a problem, it needs to be reworked or changed, which will bring great trouble and pressure to the follow-up work. Moreover, the peak of consultation between students and parents often occurs during the enrollment period, and the workload will be relatively large.
