The historical evolution of China Unicom;
China United Communications Co., Ltd. was established in July 1994, 19. One year after its establishment, it started GSM communication in Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shanghai and Beijing. On June 8th, 2002, China Unicom opened the CDMA2000 1X RTT network.
