On September 16, 2002, the newly-built south station building of Zibo Railway Station was officially put into use, and the old station building was deactivated. Zibo Railway Station welcomes visitors from all directions with a brand-new look. The newly-built south stationmaster of Zibo Railway Station160m, 60m wide, with a total construction area of about 34,700 square meters. The main body is divided into a basement, two floors above ground and some interlayers. Architectural design adheres to the concept of "rising day by day, bearing the future".
As a comprehensive transportation hub, the newly-built Zibo South Railway Station will integrate various modes of transportation and operation such as national railway, Zhangbo line, public transportation, taxis and social vehicles. Through the hierarchical organization of three-dimensional transportation mode, the separation of people and vehicles entering and leaving the station can be reasonably solved, which will bring more comfortable and convenient travel experience to passengers and inject new vitality into Zibo's economic development.
inner structure
The facade of the station building refers to the style of Qi Palace and incorporates traditional architectural features. The east and west sides of the front are decorated with two opposite car and horse reliefs, symbolizing the functional attributes of the station's welcoming, and the charm of Zibo Jinshan Home with sea and mountains.
The bronze mural of Jiao Spirit is installed at the upper part of the entrance, which reproduces the glorious life of Comrade Jiao who served the people wholeheartedly, devoted himself to it and died. The express distribution hall of Zhangbo Line on the first floor, the comprehensive business hall on the first floor, and the waiting hall on the second floor are respectively equipped with murals with themes such as "Jiuqu An Lan", "Cuju Shu Jie", "Millennium Commercial Port" and "A Hundred Schools of Thought contend".
In the central area of the waiting room, a circular sculpture with the evolution of the word "Qi" is set up, which reflects the long history of Zibo through the evolution of characters and echoes the starry dome with the theme of "Rhythmic Galaxy" at the top, so that passengers can experience the ancient charm of Qi while enjoying convenient travel.
