The school strengthens teachers' subjective consciousness and research consciousness, and promotes the formation of teachers' reflective teaching habits with teaching reflection. In the process of classroom teaching, the application of "autonomy, cooperation and inquiry" teaching method is emphasized to guide students to develop in the direction of combining independent thinking with cooperative inquiry. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the school undertook three national and provincial projects 1 and three municipal projects. In 2004, the research experience of our research group "Practice and Exploration of Subject Research" was well received and popularized at the exchange meeting organized by the Municipal Teaching and Research Section.

In 2005, the school won the excellent organization of essay activity on the theme of "Copyright Protection for Middle School Students" organized by Shenyang Municipal Committee and Shenyang Municipal Education Bureau, the excellent organization award of "China People, China Heart" organized by Shenhe District Education Bureau in 2005, the excellent unit for displaying military training achievements of primary and middle school students in Shenhe District in 2005, the first place in the total score of sports activities in the whole region, and the second place in the high school group of table tennis competition in primary and secondary schools in Shenhe District in 2005. In 2006, Shenhe District won the runner-up in the student group of the 8th National Games and the Sports Ethics Award and many other honors.
