Is there any interesting place in Longhua?

Longhua, an ancient town

From Yibin, an important town in southern Sichuan, it is more than 70 kilometers westbound along Jinsha River, passing through pingshan county City and 37 kilometers northbound along Panshan Highway, and then it reaches Longhua Town.

Longhua, an ancient town, is named after Longhua Temple. To its south is the rolling Laojun Mountain, where Dalongxi and Xiaolongxi meet at the north exit of the town and flow into the Minjiang River. The Eight Immortals Mountain Scenic Area faces the ancient town across the river, with beautiful environment and simple folk customs, and the largest standing Buddha in the world-the Eight Immortals Mountain Giant Buddha. Due to the barrier of mountains, Longhua has well preserved its historical features and is known as the living fossil of the ancient town.

The ancient streets of Gu Xiang are full of ancient customs.

The geographical location of Longhua town was very important in ancient times, and it was a place for competition between Yi and Han. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang and Meng Huo led troops from this area into Liangshan and crossed Jinsha River into Yunnan. During the Ming Dynasty, a post station was set up here. In the first year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (185 1), Ping 'an camp was set up here, and the capital yamen was built, and troops were stationed, and walls and gates were built. Up to now, there are still two zhaimen, the former site of Dusi Yamen and the armory in the ancient town.

Walking through the ancient town, the characteristics of Longhua come to mind: ancient bridges, ancient streets, Gu Xiang and rich ancient customs. A distinctive wind and rain bridge-Longhua Bridge, such as Changhong Wobo, spans Xiaolongxi. Stepping on the two bridges, I saw rows of ancient banyan trees on both sides of Longxi, with drooping branches and leaves, gurgling water, ducks playing in the water, stone piers in array and clothes hammering. The residential buildings on the shore are strewn at random, and the smoke from the kitchen is curling ... What a beautiful picture!

After crossing the beam bridge and entering Guzhaimen, we entered three well-preserved streets in Qing Dynasty, Shunhe Street, Xinjie Street and Changjie, all paved with stone slabs, only three or four meters wide. Time has left a concave mark on the slate. The left and right sides of the ancient street are all-in-one wooden houses, layer by layer, strewn at random, layer by layer, extending to the center of the town. Shunhe Street is built by the stream, with a patchwork structure, and Sanguan Building stands by the stream. Xinjie is really an old street, all of which are residential buildings in the Qing Dynasty. The strip is actually not long, and it is winding. Longhua Temple, located on the main street, has a long history, leaving only the column base and some buildings. However, the Yu Palace, which was built not far away during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, is basically well preserved. Seven stories of ancient operas with high relief on both sides of the pedestal of the main hall are exquisitely carved and lifelike, such as "Zhao Kuangyin Washing Horse to Rescue the Driver", "Three British Wars against Lu Bu" and "Dragon Banpo". The deep relief checkered pattern connects these pictures and is very decorative.

Longhua Lifoguan Huanqiu

The most peculiar thing about Longhua ancient town is that there is a standing Buddha in the world-the Eight Immortals Mountain Buddha on the Eight Immortals Mountain.

Baxian Mountain is 850 meters high, with a relative height of 420 meters. There are eight peaks in the mountain, like eight arhats in a row, sitting cross-legged, so it is called "Eight Immortals Mountain". There is a Buddha carved on the purple cliff of the main peak. According to the research of archaeologists in the province, the Giant Buddha was built in the late Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. It is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. The newly-built climbing stone ladder 17 16, which is about 2 meters wide, goes straight to the top of Danxia Cave and faces the Giant Buddha across the ditch.

The Eight Immortals Mountain Buddha is 32 meters high and is listed in the top ten Buddha statues in the world in the encyclopedia of China. The Eight Immortals Mountain Buddha is on the list. The top ten Buddha statues sit or lie down. The Eight Immortals Mountain Buddha, dressed in cassock, looks dignified, his left hand is chest, his right hand is drooping, and his palm is outward. It is a deep relief that leads the Buddha statue. In March, 200012000, two standing Buddha statues in Bamiyan, Afghanistan, were ruthlessly destroyed by Taliban gunfire, and the Eight Immortals Buddha became the first standing Buddha statue in the world. Unfortunately, the giant Buddha only cuts to the knee. If it cuts to the foot, it can be raised at least 10 meter. The local people say that the foot of this Buddha can't be carved. If the feet are carved, the Buddha will wash his feet. Every summer, large and small streams will flood. Is it against my Buddha's mercy?

The Danxia Cave Group in Baxian Mountain consists of nine caves, all of which are Buddhist and Taoist relics. Shaped like wood beams and columns, each hole is engraved with a pair of plaques, beautifully carved. The most peculiar thing is the door couplet on the left and right sides of the Jade Emperor Cave:

Sun Crystal

Peng Yue □□

The words "two days", "four days", "March" and "April" cannot be understood, and their contents cannot be solved, which has become an eternal mystery.

Dragon lantern at 15 o'clock in the first month

Burning dragon lanterns on the fifteenth day of the first month is a unique local cultural activity in Longhua ancient town.

At night, when the lights are on, the town becomes a sea of joy. Dozens of people playing with dragon lanterns danced with the sound of gongs and drums and marched along the street. The town suddenly boiled, and people occupied favorable terrain, lit homemade bamboo fireworks and sprayed them at the dragon lantern. At this time, I saw dozens of fireworks forming an intertwined network, just like a meteor shower, and the scene was spectacular. On the roof, in front of the window, in the street, firecrackers exploded, smoke billowed, flames flashed, guns burst, fire dragons churned in the fire storm, and people surged with the fire dragons, pushing the happy atmosphere of the New Year Lantern Festival to a climax.
