In October, we witnessed the official listing of Changan Kaicheng F70 "conquering" Chongqing Chongqing New Europe at the starting point of Chongqing New Europe, and thus began the test drive experience of this car. There are 8 vehicles in this test, including 2.5T diesel four-wheel drive version and two-wheel drive version, and 2.4T gasoline version. The models we test drive this time are all manual transmission, because the models equipped with the French Bang Qi 6AT gearbox have not been listed yet. The official said that the automatic transmission models will meet with you as soon as the end of this year.
The test drive started from Chongqing and went all the way to Hanzhong. The test drive route starts from the landmark square of Chongqing Yuxinou, passes through Chongqing Ring Expressway and Yin Kun Expressway, and finally reaches Zhuge Ancient Town, Mianxian County, Hanzhong City. The road conditions involved basically cover urban roads, mountain roads, expressway, provincial roads, dirt roads and gravel roads, with a total mileage of about 500 kilometers and 8 hours. Due to the limitation of venue and activity flow, we only conducted a simple test drive experience for this tape measure, not a professional level test. The following mainly introduces the test drive experience of the 6-speed manual diesel four-wheel drive model.
Comfortable driving, sufficient power, NVH performance exceeded expectations.
Starting from the starting point of Chongqing's new European landmark, at this stage, at first I thought that the idling speed of high-power diesel vehicles would be more obvious, but it didn't appear in this car at all. In the actual driving process, the transmission ratio of this 6-speed manual gearbox is relatively clear, the shifting stroke is not long, the clutch is also considerate, and the driving feeling is very relaxed, and there is no need for too many adaptation processes. In addition, Chang 'an Kaicheng F70 has good steering adjustment, light low speed and stable high speed, and comfortable seats in the front row can also add a lot to comfort.
Although the data of this 2.5T diesel engine is not amazing, it does not give people a feeling of being at a loss when driving, and the power feedback is also very positive. The media test drive driver on the bus took three adults and installed some equipment. Under urban road conditions, the turbine intervention process of new cars is early, but it is not obvious. When it reaches 1000rmp, the maximum torque can be exerted, and there is no need to worry about the low torque performance.
The fly in the ointment is that the linearity is a little poor when accelerating at high speed. Due to the weight of the vehicle, when the engine speed is below 2000 rpm, the output will feel a little insufficient. The whole overtaking action can't be described as "pushing back", I think it can only be said to be moderate and more appropriate. But the sense of acceleration that is not strong will not bring discomfort to passengers. When the power is constantly emerging, drivers will enjoy it more.
Master of chassis training, suitable for business and home use.
Domestic pickup truck chassis is nothing more than a non-load-bearing structure, with serious homogenization problem and boring driving, not to mention comfort. Although Chang 'an Kaicheng F70 vehicle also adopts non-load-bearing body structure, it adopts closed trapezoidal structure with 2 longitudinal beams and 7 cross beams, and adopts high-strength steel, which makes the vehicle have good bearing capacity and torsion resistance.
The front suspension adopts double wishbone independent suspension with high lateral stiffness, which can effectively absorb the lateral force on the tire and prevent the vehicle from tilting, thus providing better grip for the tire and improving the safety and handling of the vehicle. The suspension structure of Chang 'an Kaicheng F70 is widely used in Prado, Land Patrol, Grand Cherokee and other well-known hard-core off-road vehicles. The rear suspension is a leaf spring dependent suspension. A pickup truck model suitable for IKEA business should have enough load and meet the comfort of home.
In terms of chassis adjustment, the vehicle chassis system is jointly adjusted by PSA Group, which is known as the "chassis master", and Changan Automobile's Detroit R&D Center. The vehicle chassis hardware is provided by Somic Company of Japan. Vehicles have good vibration filtering performance, and some pebbles and potholes on the road surface can be easily filtered, so it is not easy to generate redundant vibration. When the vehicle is driving at high speed, it is very smooth, has no sense of drift at all, turns quickly, and the body roll support is flexible and solid, which can bring good confidence to the driver.
Sound insulation is good, and the performance of four-wheel drive has yet to be "unlocked"
What impressed me most was its NVH performance. If you drive for too long, I believe that most people will greatly improve the driving experience of pickup trucks, which will definitely refresh your understanding of the quietness of pickup trucks. NVH is handled well, and the whole vehicle adopts many sound insulation measures, so the noise and vibration of the vehicle engine are not obvious. High-speed wind noise and tire noise are separated from the window.
Although there will be a unique "da da da" sound of diesel engine when starting and driving at low speed, it is very quiet when driving, especially when driving at medium and high speed at a constant speed. Although it is not as good as a car, it is really "noiseless" for a tall and powerful pickup truck.
Changan Kaicheng F70 off-road quality is good. First, the minimum ground clearance of the original vehicle reaches 230mm, and then the approach angle of the vehicle is 29 and 27 respectively. The data is not lost to mainstream hard-core off-road vehicles. However, due to the long wheelbase of pickup trucks, more attention should be paid when driving on some undulating and complicated sections. Because there are no difficult obstacles to experience the extreme off-road performance of the vehicle in this test drive, we also hope to have the opportunity to experience the performance of Kaicheng F70 in a more difficult test drive.
It is worth mentioning that the drag ability of Chang 'an Kaicheng F70 is still quite strong, which can provide 3.5 tons of drag ability, equivalent to the weight of an adult African elephant. Imagine dragging an RV or even a yacht on vacation.
From "Chongqing" to "Shaanxi", I feel better than Picado.
In recent years, with the rapid development of Changan Automobile's passenger car plate, there has been a short board of "strong passenger car and weak commercial car". I think this dilemma will gradually change with the arrival of Chang 'an Kaicheng F70.
First of all, this car is different from the single form of the previous joint venture model. Changan Automobile and PSA have been "grinding swords for five years", and invested a lot of resources to build it through deep cooperation between China and Europe. It can be said that Kaicheng F70 is a real global pickup truck. Its launch also announced Changan's official entry into more than 90,000 mid-to high-end pickup truck market segments, bearing the important mission of Chang 'an commercial vehicle product structure transformation and brand upgrade.
In addition, Changan Kaicheng F70 achieved sales in more than 65,438+000 countries and regions by replacing the logos of Changan V and Peugeot Lion Run, which was once something that only joint ventures could do. Returning to the product level, although the whole car of the Cacheng F70 is still biased towards commercial vehicles, its domineering appearance, exquisite interior and rich safety configuration have reached the level of mainstream SUV. The intelligent degree of in-vehicle interconnection system is exactly the same as that of passenger cars in Chang 'an, and more than 200,000 to 300,000 family cars can be easily used. Later, the automatic passenger version went on the market, and I think it can really compete with popular pickups such as "Celebrity Gun on the Internet" and Navarra.

In the past, the image of the tool car is being broken, pickup trucks will be fully aligned with SUVs, and more and more good products will follow, which is undoubtedly good news for consumers.
