Candy house, Oda Girijo's fantasy paradise

Enjoy, be lazy, complain, or be detached?

But that's not why I watch this play. What really attracted me to watch Candy House was its main star, which starred Uncle Oda Girijo and Machiko Ono (mother's mother and perfect divorced wife). How can I not watch it?

Ten episodes, 20 minutes each, such a simple story happened in the candy house slowly spread out.

Small candy store, antique decoration, filled with all kinds of candy snacks. This is a small shop handed down by that man's grandfather. But its business is not good, nobody cares about it every day, and it is not good to raise a man, Taro, and grandma. But for the sake of grandma and memories, Taro took a part-time job to make money and simply supported the operation of the candy store.

The candy store has a backyard with a pile of sundries, and this is the gathering place for uncles every day. There are Taro's primary school classmates, an old uncle who divorced without salary, and a silly Xiaogang who lacks self-confidence. Every day, they buy a snack in the shop, sit down, chat slowly and joke until the sun goes down.

Almost every day is spent like this.

I really envy the unsuspecting calmness and concern among uncles. It may be because people in their thirties have lost their bravado and youth in their twenties, but they have not been infected by the dullness and silence of the elderly, so they finally confessed.

A series of things happened in this small candy house. Of course, these are also the little things in life.

First of all, Taro's elementary school classmate Lizi (played by Machiko Ono) came to see you. Ritsuko divorced with a son, worked multiple jobs alone, and lived happily. She began to sit in the candy house for a while every day, Kyutaro cooked lunch, started dating in Kazutaro, and then got married.

"Are you in love? Is there really? " One day, when Lizi was not at home, uncles asked Taro curiously. Taro seemed a little shy and acquiesced.

Another primary school classmate who became a successful entrepreneur also came to the door. The uncles were worried that he would look down on their backyard, but he said he missed the past very much and invited Taro to his restaurant.

But soon, he was jailed for tax problems.

This is really a complicated modern life.

Then, the lives of uncles began to change greatly.

Grandma suddenly developed dementia symptoms and forgot Ryutaro's name.

Because a cat scratched a neighbor's car, the neighbor took Taro to court. Although it was a stray cat, the neighbors insisted that it belonged to Taro and asked Taro to pay a large sum of money.

At the same time, uncles began to look for jobs and prepare to change their lives.

Xiaogang found a job, but was accidentally killed by a car.

Finally, under grandma's idea, the candy store sold and lost money, and she also decided to live in a nursing home so as not to drag down taro.

This series of things is like biting each other's hairtail one after another, which makes people breathless. However, what is certain is that, in this way, the paradise of uncles will be gone.

"Don't sell candy stores, don't live in nursing homes, think again, grandma." Taro begged grandma again and again, but grandma made up her mind with a smile.

Taro's grandmother is a smiling little woman. She is always kind and gentle to the children who come to the candy store, and even remembers their names, but at this moment, she made up her mind.

My uncles have started their new lives, and everything is getting better. Taro and Lizi live in a new house, and Taro works as an apprentice chef in a Spanish restaurant. Taro's primary school classmates became screenwriters, which is his dream position. The old uncle went to work in another city and made up with his ex-wife.

They changed back to ordinary people, lived an ordinary life without pause, and gradually lost the opportunity to contact each other.

In their minds, will they occasionally think of that interesting, nonsense and carefree candy store backyard and that amiable grandmother?

Children grow up, but there are always some children in their hearts, aren't there?

Primary school students took their beautiful actress girlfriends to Taro's shop for dinner, but they got as drunk as a fiddler and went to the kitchen to chat with Kazutaro.

Grandma was dying, and Taro took the whole family to visit the sick.

The story came to an abrupt end. At the end of the story is Oda Girijo with dignified eyes and his memories of the candy store.

I think everyone should have such an imaginary paradise in their hearts. Whether it's good memories, good songs or anything else, whenever they think about it, they will always be soft-hearted, recall the meaning of ordinary life now and regain their motivation to move forward.

It is happy to have such an imaginary paradise, because it allows us to have our own things and make life meaningful, and it is also different from a mechanical gear that only turns every day.

Candy houses are much like midnight food stores. The candy house tells short stories during the day and the midnight food store tells short stories in the middle of the night. They taught me to live slowly, cherish life and be lucky. I will definitely revisit it when I have time.
