Hibiscus is a small evergreen tree with a height of 4-7 meters. The leaves are big, heart-shaped and the stems are long. Flowers yellow, corolla bell-shaped, capsule. In rural Taiwan Province, its leaves are often used to wrap Zong Bing, so it is also called a tall tree. Mainly distributed in rural areas of South China, South subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, tropical monsoon rain forest, Guangdong, Guangxi and Taiwan Province provinces.
Hibiscus flowers bloom all year round, and it is the most prosperous in summer. Street trees and coastal greening can be planted. Mostly in coastal areas, it is an excellent tree species for preventing sand, moisture and wind along the coast. Folk take its leaves to make glutinous rice, so it is called "glutinous rice leaves".
Hibiscus flowers are also cultivated in small towns along the coast of Guangzhou and Guangdong, mostly as street trees.
