"I am clumsy in my hometown, and I paint diligently"! Zhu Da is a descendant of King Zhu Quan of Ning Ming and a native of Badashan. An outstanding painter and calligrapher in Qing Dynasty. With Hong Ren, Kun Can and Shi Tao in Qing Dynasty, they are also called "the four great monks in Qing Dynasty". Taking the natural method, concise pen and ink, magnificent, unique and innovative, serving monks as the Tao, colorful, and creating a lofty and broad artistic style of calligraphy and painting. For more than 300 years, all freehand brushwork painters in China have been influenced by Zhu Da to some extent. (1626—— about 1705) A native of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, formerly known as Tong, was an outstanding painter in the Qing Dynasty. Ning Ming's descendant, Zhu Quan, was born in Badashan Mountain. The word snow has many nicknames. There are also famous mountains, human houses, donkey people, donkey houses, mountain donkeys, blade temples, Dao Lang, bright moon and broken clouds. Ming imperial clan, after Shen Jia, ended his early aristocratic life. In order to avoid disaster, he remained anonymous and sent grief to calligraphy and painting. Wu Ming, in the fifth year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (AD 1648), cut his hair and became a monk. Be ordained at an older person's place. Later, he returned to the secular world and soon became a monk, building a Taoist temple in Qingyunpu Scenic Resort Scenic Area.

Zhang Jiang Ye Danju has a poem "Crossing the Eight Mountains": "A room is full of songs, rustling is full of dust, Artemisia is hidden in the dark, and poetry is painted in Zen. The old man lives in seclusion, and the remnants of the mountain are left with water. The old business of Qingmen is there, and the people who grow melons are scattered. " Zhu Da's pain and sorrow provided a vast space and time for his talent. He spent his old age in a lonely and poor hut around the Taoist Temple in Qingyunpu Scenic Resort Scenic Area.

Zhu Da's book "Eight Mountain Men" must be combined with words like crying or laughing, which means something else. Calligraphy, Wang Xianzhi, simple and mellow, ignorant habit. Crazy grass is also strange, and it is also a family. Especially good at drawing. Yellow in landscape research. He is good at painting flowers, birds, bamboo and wood, winning with simplicity and being unique. Calligraphy is primitive, with Jin and Tang styles. Freehand flower-and-bird painting in Ming Dynasty was born out of Liang Lin, Xu Wei and others. On the basis of Shen Zhou, Chen Chun and Xu Wei, flower-and-bird painting has formed a unique style, which is simple, strange and unconventional, but with pen and ink, Wen Ya is bold and unconstrained, subtle and simple, and can express extremely complicated things with very little pen and ink. Similar to Shi Tao's painting style, it had a great influence on flower-and-bird painting in Qing Dynasty. Draw a bird with only one foot and eyes up. The so-called "looking at the sky with white eyes" shows that it is unfair. There are many prints of paintings.

Badashan people are influenced by Dong Qichang in composition, but their writing style is dry and desolate. He was an outstanding painter in the middle of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and he was also called "Four Monks of Qing Dynasty" with Hong Ren, Kun Can and Shi Tao. Pen and ink are concise and subtle, colorful, incisive and unique. Painting landscapes, mostly barren hills and strange rocks, shows the realm of "residual water in the mountains and insufficient cold", painting more flowers, and writing more about banana, withered lotus and Gu Song; Draw a bird, what a nameless bird; Painted fish, many nameless fish, are mostly grotesque in image, strange in expression and cruel. Show the author's arrogance, indifference and hatred of reality. His calligraphy can also learn from all the beauty, with a unique style and a graceful and vigorous style. Representative works include: Flowers on the River, Rattan and Moon, Fish and Birds, Songxia Singing Birds, Lotus Waterbirds, Landscape, etc.

Zhu Da has made outstanding achievements in art, focusing on painting, and also has high attainments in calligraphy, poetry postscript and seal cutting. In painting, he is famous for his freehand brushwork in ink and wash, and he is good at splashing ink, especially flower-and-bird painting. In his creation, he took the natural method, concise pen and ink, magnificent and unique, and created a broad style. In the past 300 years, most schools of freehand brushwork have been influenced by Zhu Da to some extent. In the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Geng's comments on Zhu Da's paintings reached the state of "clumsy rules and regulations, and people in the paintings were despised". Zhu Da advocated "economy" in painting. Sometimes he only painted a bird or a stone on a big piece of paper, and his expression was perfect with only a few strokes. His calligraphy is vigorous and fluent. Seal cutting is simple and unique.

In the process of forming his own style, Zhu Da inherited the fine traditions of the previous generation and found his own way. His flower-and-bird paintings lived in Xu Xi for five dynasties, and Zhu Lanmo, a literati painter in Song Dynasty, was also influenced by the techniques of Lin Liang, Lv Ji and Lu Zhi in Ming Dynasty, especially advocating the extensive painting style of the Qingteng Bai Yang. His landscape paintings reached as far away as the Southern Dynasties, and he studied under Dong, Ju, Mi Fei, Ni, Huang and even Dong Qichang. In calligraphy, he studied Shi Guwen intensively, and since the Han, Wei, Jin and Tang Dynasties, he deliberately wrote down various calligraphy posts, especially Wang Xizhi.

The characteristics of Zhu Da's painting art, in general, are to convey feelings with form and to take the spirit with form; The pen and ink are simple and light, and the pen is bold and unrestrained; Sparse layout and empty artistic conception; Zhu Da is full of vigor and grandeur, and his form and skills are the most sincere expression of his true feelings. Zhu Da forged his artistic accomplishment and skills, as he himself said: "There is no doubt about reading thousands of books;" If you travel to Wan Li, you will see a big hand. "He thinks that painting is like climbing a mountain," you must climb hard to be fearless ",which reflects his spirit of constantly tempering art. Badashan people played a prominent role in the confrontation between innovation and conservatism in the early Qing Dynasty and among the" four great painting monks "of the reformists. In memory of the great painter Zhu Da, the Badashanren History Museum was established in Qingyunpu Scenic Resort Scenic Area after liberation. Zhu Da's art has aroused great repercussions in the East, especially in Japanese painting circles and even in the world. Such as: lotus pond bird painting, river flower painting, fish and duck painting, fish music painting, miscellaneous flower painting, willow bathing bird painting, lotus dew painting, dashi fish painting, double eagle painting, ancient beauty painting and Mosong painting. In terms of calligraphy, there are Preface to Lanting, Four Screens of Narration by Linjiang, calligraphy posts of various masters and scrolls of cursive poems, all of which are treasured by museums and courtyards at home and abroad. There are several paintings and calligraphy works of Badashan people, which are no longer visible.
