Why do CPU have scattered fragments and boxes?

First, the difference between bulk and boxed

From a technical point of view, there is no essential difference between bulk and boxed CPU, at least the quality is no problem. As far as CPU manufacturers are concerned, their products can be divided into two categories according to the mode of supply, one is to supply brand-name machine manufacturers, and the other is to supply the retail market. Most of the products facing the retail market are boxed products, while the bulk products partly come from the leakage of brand-name machine manufacturers and the sales strategy of agents. Theoretically, there is no difference in performance, stability and overclocking potential between boxed and bulk products, but there are some differences in warranty.

Generally speaking, the warranty period of boxed CPU is longer (usually three years), and it comes with a good quality cooling fan, so it is often loved by consumers. However, this does not mean that there is no warranty for batch CPU. As long as you choose a reputable agent, you can generally get a one-year regular warranty. In fact, CPU has no concept of warranty. At this time, the warranty is equivalent to replacement, so you don't have to worry about the moisture in the warranty level if you are in bulk.

Fake boxed CPU with rough workmanship

Second, the current situation of CPU market-asking about genuine boxed products

However, things are not that simple. More and more rampant profiteers don't even bother to make comments. They simply stick a fan on some bulk CPUs with super glue and call it "original", and then mark the CPU frequency with higher frequency on the fan. It's really simple! Will consumers take apart the fan and have a look? Of course not! Unless your fan is broken, and you don't have the courage, because if you remove this firmly attached fan, the CPU is likely to lose its warranty qualification or cause physical damage.

Some profiteers will match their own bulk products with original fans and packaging left by other customers in order to hide their eyes and ears, which is simply "seamless". There is no doubt that if manufacturers don't take some necessary measures, then ordinary consumers can do almost nothing.

Whether it is Intel or AMD's CPU, the origin of boxed products is very worrying. Take Intel CPU as an example, most boxed products on the market are counterfeit, and even statistics show that it has reached more than 75%. The so-called fake box is nothing more than two situations: the bulk CPU is packaged with the original radiator, or directly bonded with the fake radiator. Relatively speaking, the latter situation is more obvious, because the boxed products on the market now can hardly see the real original radiator, and their origin is really suspicious.
