Lu Xiufu Temple. West of Ruxue Street, Yancheng City, in Lugong Temple Lane. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty to commemorate Lu Xiufu in the Southern Song Dynasty. Lu Xiufu (1236— 1279) was born in Yancheng, Chuzhou (now Jiangsu). In the first year of Jingyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1276), he served as the minister of rites. In the first year of Xiangxing (1278), together with Wen Tianxiang and others, Zhao Min, the young master, was appointed as Prime Minister and stationed in Yashan (now Xinhui, Guangdong). On February 6, the second year of Xiangxing, the Yuan army attacked the cliff, and Lu Xiufu's pioneer wife and children were squeezed, and then they died with the young master. ..
On June 24th, 2009, the restored and expanded Lu Xiufu Ancestral Hall was officially opened. The renovation and expansion project of Lu Xiufu's ancestral hall covers a total area of about 6,750 square meters, and the renovation and expansion area is 2,680 square meters, including 3,375 square meters of ancestral hall and other areas and 2,250 square meters of cultural blocks, with a total investment of 30 million yuan.
The exhibition is divided into "home" and "country". Home is mainly composed of preface hall, jingzhong hall and Zheng ancestral hall, which mainly shows Lu Xiufu's virtues of integrity, diligence, helping others and filial piety to his parents. "Guo" is composed of "Zhong Lie Tang" and "Yang". Through modern exhibition means, it reproduces the great achievements of Lu Xiufu's diligent and honest administration and Yashan's martyrdom. When it was first built, it was a three-in-one hatchback with one pavilion on each side. One is the entrance hall, the other is the planting hall, and the third is the main ancestral hall. Between binary and ternary, there are symmetrical east and west wings on both sides There is a mainstay square outside the gate and a table loyalty pavilion in the lobby. In the seventeenth year of Jiajing (1538), Haoran Hall was built behind the main ancestral hall. The furnishings in the ancestral hall include statues and portraits of Lu Xiufu, plaques inscribed by celebrities, couplets, poems, inscriptions and sacrificial vessels. After several wars and years of disrepair, Lu Xiufu's ancestral temple was ruined, and its furnishings were destroyed and lost. There is only a stone tablet on the inner wall of the temple, which is engraved with Su Maoxiang's poem "Upright Hainan Nanliufei, a lonely minister in tears." The heart of the stone is still strong, and the tripod holds the dragon beard. The grass in Yuyue Island is barren and dense, and the door is full of assistant minister alum. Poor old country returned to the temple, but loyal soul did not return. "
According to the Records of Yancheng County (the 21st year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty), the Lu Xiufu Ancestral Temple, which was built in the early Ming Dynasty, originally occupied a large area, with Confucianism Street in the east, Jiefang Middle Road in the west, Lu Xiufu Lane Ancestral Temple in the south and Zhou Chang Lane in the north. Due to historical reasons, the plots on the north and east sides of the Lu Xiufu ancestral hall rebuilt in those years were occupied one after another, and the ancestral hall space was relatively cramped.
In the 1980s, Lu Xiufu's ancestral hall was restored. Or a three-in-one hatchback. Calligrapher Wu Zhongqi inscribed "Lu Xiufu Ancestral Temple" in the class. Stepping into the hall, there is a plaque of "Song Xianggong Lu Xiufu Ancestral Temple" with a plaque of "Bihai Dan Xin" hanging on it. Second, there are celebrity inscriptions on the east and west walls of the courtyard in front of the Yangzhi Hall, and there are portraits of Duke Lu in the hall. The words "Stay in the square" are hung on the plaque, and the couplets on both sides say: the country has been destroyed, and there are still six feet in the arm, and the monarch and his ministers will never leave the bottom of the sea. Loyalty to the Moon was written by Zhang Aiping. It is listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit.
There are still six feet in the arms of the country, and the monarch and his subjects will not die at the bottom of the sea. Lu Xiufu has a special position in the hearts of Yancheng people. His heroic act of "preferring death to surrender" has been deeply shocking the people in his hometown for more than 700 years. In order to better commemorate this national hero, the restoration and expansion plan in 2008 was specially designed by the National Research Center of Historical and Cultural Cities of Tongji University, and expanded eastward to Confucianism Street, with three entrances and two halls. At the same time, two two-story buildings were built, namely the antique cultural relics trading market and the quaint tea house, both of which were imitation Ming and Qing style buildings, consistent with the existing ancestral temple. Before the Spring Festival in 2009, the expanded Xinlugong Temple was built to welcome guests, which is the 730th anniversary of Lu Xiufu's death.
