1952, team 402, formerly 575-person yongxing iron ore exploration team, was formally established in yongxing county, Jiangxi province.
1953, according to the requirements of the national first five-year plan on the unified deployment of geologists, it was moved to Lianyuan County, Hunan Province, and renamed as Doulishan Coal Mine Exploration Team of Central South Geological Bureau, and the number of the team increased to 755.
1954, the team name was changed to 402 team of Central South Geological Bureau; The following year, he moved from central Hunan to northeast Hunan. The team is located in Tanjiashan, Xiangtan, and has been renamed as Tanjiashan Team, Xiangtan Team and Xiangtan Professional Comprehensive Geological Team.
1957, the team moved to Nanzhushan, Xiangtan, and changed its name to Team 402 of Hunan Geological Bureau.
1958,402 Team is divided into two parts: Xiangdong Team and Xiangtan Geological Bureau. At the same time, Chayuanpu Team, Xiangbei Team, Gypsum Team, 7 16 Team and Liling Team were merged into Xiangtan Bureau and Xiangdong Team.

1964 moved the team site from Xiangtan to Qibaoshan in Liuyang, 1965 moved to Yonghe in Liuyang, and 1966 moved back to Qibaoshan.
1974, the team site was moved from Qibaoshan in Liuyang to Yong 'an Town in Liuyang.
1984 changed its name to Team 402 of Hunan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources. 1996 was renamed Team 402, Hunan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.
