Visit the Hobbit Village

The Hobbit Village (also known as the Hobbit Village) is located in Alexander Farm, Matamata Town, south of North Island170km in New Zealand. This is the famous New Zealand director Peter? Jackson's Hobbit Special Shooting Base.

It is said that Peter? When Jackson was looking for a shooting scene for the Hobbit, he looked around. When he came to Matamata town, the green hills and quiet farms here were like a paradise, which brought him great shock. In order to make the farm here become the shire in his mind, the staff spent nine months setting up shooting scenes on the farm.

We started from Auckland, stopped all the way, and drove for nearly three hours to Matamata town. Park your car in the roadside parking lot and board the bus to Alexandria Farm.

After about 20 minutes' drive, I saw Hobbit caves with different shapes built on the mountain. A closer look shows that flower fences are erected at the entrance of each cave, and all kinds of flowers are planted. Tourists walk through these beautiful caves, looking at clothes, farm tools and fruits drying in front of and behind the house, and have the illusion of being in the Hobbit life scene. I can't help thinking, if you open the closed door, what kind of adventure will be waiting for you?

The tour guide told us two true stories about building a shooting base. One is that the big tree above the bag hole was found from another farm. This is an oak tree weighing 26 tons. The staff divided the tree into several sections and transported it here. Then reassemble it with fake leaves and plant it on the pocket hole. When all the scenes were ready for shooting, the staff found that the color on the leaves was a little faded, so they had to re-attach the leaves. Another story is that there are many frogs in the pond of the farm, and the sound of frogs once affected the sound effect of shooting. At that time, there were two choices, one was to salvage the frog and transport it out, and the other was that the frog would not move and dub it later in the movie. Finally, in order to maintain the original ecology of nature, the second scheme was chosen. Some scenes in the movie can only hear human voices, which is why. Hearing this, the tourists burst into warm applause. Everyone pays tribute to the dedicated employees and the people of New Zealand who are highly environmentally conscious.

The tour guide is a blonde girl, wearing a uniform tour guide uniform. When talking about scenes related to movies, she speaks very fast, mixed with some body language. She happily took photos of tourists and patiently helped a tourist with poor legs and feet. While waiting for other tourists to take photos, she asked me when I arrived in New Zealand and how I felt about this country. I told her that she had been in New Zealand for several days. This is a beautiful and clean country. The people here are very nice. "This is a magical country." My sister's eyes lit up and she could see that she was very proud of her country.

We climbed the mountain road slowly to the top of the mountain and saw the legendary tree. Without the guide's explanation, I really can't see that it is a fake tree at the moment. Look carefully, the leaves of this tree are just a little black.

A mill was built by the lake at the foot of the mountain. Opposite the mill is the famous lakeside dragon. There, it is a pub frequented by Hobbits in movies. There are four kinds of free drinks for tourists to taste: English beer, amber yellow wine, barreled cider and ginger beer.

The half-day trip soon ended, and we reluctantly bid farewell to this beautiful Hobbit world.
