Yang Kaizhi, formerly known as Yang Zizhen, is the son of modern educator Yang Changji and the brother of revolutionary martyr Yang Kaihui. He was born in Changsha County, Hunan Province. 192/kloc-0 studied at the national Beijing agricultural college (now China agricultural university) in, and was one of the three founders of the socialist research group.
After 1927, he served as the director of Changde Mountain Forest Bureau under the Hunan Provincial Construction Department, the technician and administrator of Niushoushan Forest Farm of the Central Forest Management Bureau, and the technician of Hunan Provincial Construction Department; Technician of Hunan Institute of Agricultural Improvement, chief technician and tea teacher of China Tea Company, technical director and research director of Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture.
After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as deputy manager of Hunan Tea Company and deputy director of Hunan Tea Management Office. 1959 and rest for a long time due to illness. He was a member of the Fifth China People's Political Consultative Conference and the Third and Fourth Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference (later elected as the vice chairman of Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference).

Yang Kaizhi's main achievements
In his youth, Yang Kaizhi established a socialist research group in his school, which made great contributions to the establishment of the China Socialist Youth League branch and the China Production Party branch in the National Beijing Agricultural College and later the National Beijing Agricultural University.
Yang Kaizhi has been engaged in tea production technology and management for many years, and has made contributions to Hunan tea industry. Yang Kaizhi was elected as a member of the 3rd and 4th CPPCC, a member of the 5th CPPCC and vice chairman of the 5th CPPCC.
40km northwest of Pingshan County, Yang Zhan Martyrs' Tomb, at the foot of Emperor Mountain behind Zhutougou Village in Zhaibei Township, there is a white marble tomb with a blue granite stone tablet engraved with the words "Yang Zhan Martyrs Monument". In 2000, Zhutougou villagers and village committees rebuilt the Yang Zhan Martyrs' Tomb.
