Brief introduction of Zhengzhou North Railway Station

At the intersection of Beijing-Guangzhou and Longhai railway trunk lines, there is a bright pearl embedded, which is Zhengzhou North Station, the largest train marshalling station in Asia. The railway connecting North China, East China, South China, Northwest China and Southwest China is an important hub of China's railway transportation.

Zhengzhou North Station was established in 1963, with three levels and eight yards connected in series. The initial design capacity is 24,000 wagons per day (it exceeded 30,000 wagons in 2002 10, and reached about 36,000 wagons in 20 10), which is mainly responsible for the arrival of freight trains in four directions of small trains in Beijing-Guangzhou, East-West Longhai and Zhengzhou hub areas.

With the adjustment of railway productivity layout, the station has changed from a simple marshalling station to a small station which is also in charge of the main line and cargo transportation. Its jurisdiction includes the Shili station area of marshalling station and nine intermediate stations on the south bank of the Yellow River, Beijing-Guangzhou, Longhai, Guangwu, Dongshuangqiao, Nanyang Village, Haitang Temple, He Huan, Railway, Zhengzhou West Railway Station, Mazhai and road network of Zhengzhou Northwest Ring Road.

Zhengzhou North Station is the first semi-automatic super-large marshalling station with three levels and eight yards in two-way series in China, and it is also the largest train marshalling station in Asia at present. Responsible for the disintegration and grouping of freight trains in the east, west, south and north directions of Beijing-Guangzhou and Longhai trunk lines. The station is more than 6000 meters long from north to south and 800 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of about 5.3 square kilometers. It adopts two-way series three-stage and eight-field mechanized hump marshalling station type, and at the same time, there is an auxiliary shunting yard at the tail of the downstream shunting yard. There are 898 turnouts, 828 signallers and 228 lines with a total length of about 454 kilometers, of which the station line 15 1 has a total length of about 390 kilometers. On 20 10, the daily average number of trains is about 600, and the establishment capacity is about 36,000.

Zhengzhou North Station is also the first comprehensive modern marshalling station in China, which takes computers as the main body and realizes the automation of operation management of each station. The automation system of Zhengzhou North Railway Station includes freight car management information processing system, hump operation process control system, microcomputer centralized interlocking system at the tail of marshalling station, wireless communication system of station yard and dispatching supervision system of Zhengzhou hub area. It realizes the automation of the whole process from information collection and processing, dispatching and command to operation flow, statistical analysis, supervision and inspection.
