There are four ways to detect AIDS: voluntary counseling and testing of AIDS, voluntary counseling and testing provided by medical staff, self-sampling and transmission testing, and self-testing.
① Voluntary counseling and testing for AIDS.
Voluntary counseling and testing for AIDS refers to the process that people voluntarily choose whether to accept HIV antibody testing, change risky behaviors, and obtain relevant services through counseling, which is fully informed and completely confidential. At present, the centers for disease control and prevention in Ganzhou City and counties (except Economic Development Zone and Rongjiang New District) have VCT clinics and testing laboratories to provide free AIDS counseling and testing services for all people.
② Medical staff actively provide testing and consultation.
The initiative of medical staff to provide testing consultation refers to the initiative of medical staff to provide AIDS testing consultation for patients in medical and health institutions. According to the principle of "knowing and refusing", we should make full use of existing medical and health resources, expand the coverage of AIDS testing and consultation, and find potential infected people to the maximum extent. Under normal circumstances, general hospitals, maternal and child health care institutions, specialized hospitals and other medical institutions will actively provide AIDS testing services for inpatients and surgical patients. In addition, all patients can also be tested for AIDS at their own expense.
③ Self-sampling transfer detection
Self-sampling delivery detection refers to a detection mode in which the individual who needs to be detected obtains the self-sampling service package, and after the sample collection is completed, it is delivered to the laboratory by mail or in a sample recycling box, and the detection is completed by professionals, and the self-sampler can obtain the test results, consultation and referral services through the Internet.
④ Self-detection
Self-testing of AIDS refers to the process that individuals collect samples by themselves, test and read the results in private or accompanied by trusted people. It is mainly based on immunochromatography technology to detect HIV antibodies in blood, urine and oral mucosal exudate of HIV-infected people. Personal operation is simple and quick, and the results can be obtained within 10 ~ 30 minutes.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention of China recently issued the National Technical Specification for AIDS Testing, which mentioned that the urine self-test reagent supported by the national "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" infectious disease prevention and control science and technology has been registered with the State Administration of Medical Supplies. Accordingly, in addition to buying AIDS blood self-test reagents, the general public can also choose urine self-test reagents.
