Load-bearing wall, don't move
Removing the load-bearing wall without authorization is not only dangerous, but also illegal. The load-bearing wall is the main body of the house. Once an accident happens, the economic loss is a trivial matter, and the legal responsibility is the big thing. Consult the property before tearing down the wall to see if there is a structural diagram of the house. Remember, try not to tear down the walls with doors and external walls, and the walls of bedrooms can't be torn down.
Be cautious in hydropower transformation
There may be many problems in the water and electricity pipelines of second-hand houses, such as unreasonable layout or corrosion. Therefore, a thorough inspection is necessary. The old galvanized pipe should be replaced by copper pipe, aluminum-plastic composite pipe or PP-R pipe. In terms of circuit, because aluminum wire was used before, copper wire is used now, and PVC insulated protective tube is used. High-power electrical appliances must operate independently. Simply put, the circuit needs to be rewired.
Be careful when renovating tile floor.
When smashing wall tiles, be careful not to block the sewer. Only solid wood flooring, solid wood composite flooring and bamboo flooring with a surface thickness of 4 mm can be renovated. Local transformation may lead to differences between the old and the new, and it cannot be blindly transformed.
Don't ignore the three-sided decoration
The decoration of the walls, floors and ceilings of second-hand houses is easily overlooked. The hydrophilic gypsum putty used in the original decoration of old houses should be completely eradicated and replaced with water-resistant putty.
The closed water test is very important.
Closed water test refers to all faucets, sewers, floor drains, etc. after the decoration is completed. Close it, then drain it and observe whether there is any leakage. This step is very important to avoid the later hydropower problems.
