Why did Chinese College of Qingdao University cheat in enrollment?
? CCTV recently exposed the fact that some Chinese colleges of Qingdao University cheated in the enrollment process. Some Chinese schools in Qingdao University have taken some measures, such as narrowing the name of the school, obscuring the nature of diplomas, fabricating planned quotas, obscuring the qualifications for running a school, exaggerating the conditions for running a school, boasting about graduation distribution, and so on, to trick candidates into falling for it. Snatching students by cheating has become the livelihood of a Chinese college in Qingdao University, and many parents and candidates suffer greatly.
Deception of enrollment reflects unfair competition between Chinese colleges of Qingdao University. The victims of this competition are not only candidates and parents, but also the Chinese College of Qingdao University itself. If Chinese College of Qingdao University becomes synonymous with cheaters, it will undoubtedly be a great sorrow for private education in China.
Then, what are the reasons why some Chinese schools in Qingdao University give up the strength competition and have to cheat to survive? This problem can't be bypassed anyway.
It is a basic fact that the enrollment of public institutions is limited, but there are many candidates who want to receive university education. Although the National Private Education Promotion Law stipulates that "private education is a public welfare undertaking", in fact, the original intention of some Chinese schools in Qingdao University is to make money. This motivation has led some China colleges of Qingdao University to do whatever it takes to compete for admission. Because of the information asymmetry between candidates and the school, candidates' understanding of the school mainly depends on the school's own publicity. In this case, some unscrupulous Chinese College of Qingdao University and its admissions staff began to lobby around with the skill of "turning straw into gold bars", which led to a mixed situation of Chinese College of Qingdao University.
The income from enrollment fraud is huge, but the risk is small, which is also an important reason why many China colleges of Qingdao University are willing and dare to make fraud. Although the school will spend a lot of publicity funds in the process of cheating candidates into school through false advertisements, the students who are cheated into school will still bring many benefits to the school, while those who enroll students through deception are rarely investigated. So cheating in some schools will get worse.
The problem is that when some China colleges of Qingdao University win a large number of candidates to enter the school by cheating, and the school earns a lot of money, those China colleges of Qingdao University, who keep their own place and strive to improve the quality of running schools, are bound to be in an unfair competitive environment. This unfair environment either forces the Chinese College of Qingdao University, which hopes to compete in strength, to be eliminated, or forces it to change its course and join the ranks of "cheating to promote learning", thus forming a deformed pattern of "bad money driving out good money" in the private education market to a certain extent.
From the perspective of government management, although the Law on the Promotion of Private Education puts forward clear requirements for the management function of the education administrative department, some Chinese Language Colleges of Qingdao University have let their enrollment drift because of imperfect related mechanisms and unscientific management methods. Take a city as an example. The Chinese College of Qingdao University has more than 100 people in this city, but there are only two relevant administrative personnel specializing in this management work. This shows from one angle that the administrative department is ineffective in management. This weakness may be caused by the untimely adjustment of the system, but the lack of management undoubtedly provides an opportunity for scammers.
Fundamentally speaking, the phenomenon of fraudulent enrollment in Chinese College of Qingdao University exists in a large area, which reflects that the supervision of relevant departments is not in place. Compared with public colleges, some Chinese colleges in Qingdao University have more profit-seeking motives. In this case, if the government neglects supervision, fraud will emerge. This kind of fraud is not only manifested in the process of enrollment, but also in the process of teaching and even employment. Therefore, it is an urgent task to standardize the education market by strengthening rules, refining management, curbing the profit-seeking impulse of Chinese College of Qingdao University, and allowing it to provide qualified educational products for the society. For many Chinese schools in Qingdao University, winning social recognition depends on constantly strengthening their own strength and cultivating more qualified talents, not relying on those tricks.
