The School of Architecture and Engineering of Tianjin University was established in September 1997, which was formed by the merger of the original departments of civil engineering, water conservancy and port engineering and ship and ocean engineering. There are 6 departments, 1 basic teaching center, geotechnical engineering research institute and more than 10 scientific research institutions. The college has four undergraduate majors: civil engineering (including construction engineering, bridge engineering and underground engineering), water conservancy and hydropower engineering, port waterway and coastal engineering, and ship and ocean engineering (including ocean engineering, ship engineering and international shipping management).
