What qualifications does the company need to be an international freight forwarder?
An international freight forwarding enterprise applying for registration may be composed of enterprise legal persons, natural persons or other economic organizations. An enterprise legal person with stable supply related to import and export trade or international cargo transportation shall be the main shareholder and shall hold shares in international freight forwarding enterprises. Shareholders other than enterprise legal persons may not hold shares in international freight forwarding enterprises. The registration of international freight forwarding companies shall be based on the qualification of People's Republic of China (PRC) enterprises as legal persons. The form of enterprise organization is limited liability company or joint stock limited company. Units with administrative monopoly functions are prohibited from applying for investment in international freight forwarding business. Carriers and other enterprises that may pose unfair competition to the international freight forwarding industry may not apply for international freight forwarding business. Requirements for registering an international freight forwarding company: (1) There are at least five business personnel who have been engaged in international freight forwarding business for more than 3 years, and their qualifications are proved by their original enterprises; Or obtain the qualification certificate issued by MOFTEC in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of these Rules; (2) It has a fixed business place, and its own houses and sites must provide proof of property rights; If a house or site is leased, a lease contract shall be provided; Every time an international freight forwarding enterprise applies to set up a branch, it shall correspondingly increase its registered capital by 500,000 yuan. If the registered capital of an enterprise has exceeded the prescribed minimum (5 million yuan by sea, 3 million yuan by air, 2 million yuan by land and express delivery), the excess can be used as capital increase for the establishment of branches.
