Brief introduction of Jishou University:
Jishou University was founded in April of 1958, and was upgraded to a provincial comprehensive university in June of 438+0978. In the same year, Hunan Medical University Xiangxi Branch merged into Jishou University to form the Medical Department, Xiangtan University Xiangxi Branch merged into Jishou University to form the Physical Education Department, and Hunan Medical College Xiangxi Branch merged into Jishou University to form the Medical Department. In 2000, Jishou Health School was merged into Jishou University;
200 1, Xiangxi Institute of Ethnic Education and Jishou Normal School for Nationalities merged into Jishou University to form Jishou Normal College; In 2002, Wuling College was merged into Jishou University and became the Zhangjiajie Campus of Jishou University.
